More photo+video hybrid on camera videos coming over the summer! Will refine the process for you all as best as I can. Honestly, it's easier to do it, than to teach it.
Most of these videos will feature pizza as well.
Are these files downloadable?
Great video so much passion i love the idea of hybrid photo+video
One thing that surprises me is – I see the video and think that is way too dark and see the photo – and its near perfect. I guess you are underexposing the shot and bringing up exposue in post.
I am SO glad I found this video and your channel Taylor! I leave in a couple days to shoot my first destination wedding and my first hybrid photo video coverage. I feel a lot better and more confident after watching you shoot these weddings; seeing how and when you switch back and forth. This is valuable content – new subscriber for sure! I'm rockin' Nikon as well so that's just another bonus 😉
Cheers mate!~
Dude I love all your videos. Thanks for making such useful content! Please keep the videos coming!!
Where is this venue? I need to know!!!
I like the new intro and smooth editing. Did you upgrade your editor? 😃
awesome! Thanks for taking the time to gather this!
Do you shoot all day in f2.8?
Firstly I want to say I am a wedding photographer and mainly use D850s. I also have a Fuji X-H1. I love that you do hybrid shooting and have convinced me to do it. But I have a question that's been killing me. As a hybrid shooter, why Nikon? Why not Fuji for example? I'm willing to PAY for a FULL ON ANSWER.
Dude…your wedding walk throughs are amazing! Thank you. Subscribed.
Do you use autofocus or manual focus? Or do you just adjust the iso for photography
I'M STILL WAITING FOR THE PIZZA ….
Can't understand why people are giving this a thumbs down? Sad individuals. Thanks for providing us with a wealth of experience and knowledge. Great work as always.
haha this is awesome! Looks like you're playing call of duty at the wedding.
Awsome vlogs! Just want to know how you mount the gopro to our dslr?
Do you look through the viewfinder when shooting? or just the screen on the camera?
Just want to thank you for all of the amazing content you have put out. I have my first wedding booked at the end of August and the knowledge I’ve gained from watching these videos and applying it to my work has absolutely helped to set my mind and my nerves at ease.
how did taylor switch his settings so fast?? how do you save your settings on nikon?
Wait! What? Fiddleheads on a pizza??? I've got'ta try that! Thanks for the great info on photo+video
You explain fantastic
Your photograph is great but I only came here for the pizza LOL
Thanks for all the great info Taylor. Question… are you manual focusing for photo AND video? If using auto focus for photo, are you using back button or shutter focus? I don't see you manually focusing during stills, so am assuming you're using auto then. But in that case, are you changing your focus mode every time you switch from photo to video?
What picture control do you use?
Great video's .. one question how do you continually keep the people in focus?
you are awesome! buy your online course!
Shooting 'into' the sun? Any issues with your meter overcompensating for the light and causing the image to get too dark? Or i assume spot metering is what is used?

My wife shot her first wedding this weekend, in which I assisted her! We had a great time, however exhausting! We also had a tornado spin up and dissipate. We will definitely remember that one! Thanks for all the great tips!
i would love to see an raw image unedited – straight from the camera. thanks
What camera du you use?
Thanks for sharing this point of view. I have been getting requests to do both. It kinda makes sense from a story telling perspective. I'm not comfortable doing video yet
Great shots! Which lens did you use? Sorry if I missed it
How are you using your channel in the pricing. Brilliant btw
Hey Taylor, how much do you normally charge for weddings like this?
Another awesome video! Support from Edmonton~!
great content, thanks T
This is so valuable! Thanks Taylor!
Really enjoyed this insight. Thank you.
When youre taking isle shots and switching from landscape to portrait…what focus point are you using…single or 3d??
You know a lot of people might say I’m crazy for saying this but if you shoot in 1080 I think the canon 5dm4 has to be considered. I don’t know if you ever shot it. Dude it’s amazing. Say whatever you want about Sony bla bla bla I used them both at weddings I had a Xt2 as well. I’m a Nikon shooter but the canon just works!!! The video AF is the best from live view it’s actually amazing and the image quality is prob the best I’ve seen in terms of color and having that natural film look.
In terms of focus points, which one do you use and do you ever change them around?
You’re a damn beast carrying around that 70-200 all day. I’ve been putting an 85 1.8 on a D500 carting that along it works out nice and it’s light. But compression isn’t he same.
Dude, you are a BEAST!
i love these wedding commentary videos you do.
Mate this was extremely informative… so much so i will need to watch it again to hear and understand a lot of things. Thanks very much.
