Street Photography Critique #3 – Compositions with negative space!
Street photography critiques are back and today’s episode we touch on utilizing techniques like negative space, sub framing and drawing emotion from your images. Please keep in mind I am no expert what so ever these are just my opinions based on what I know. Thank you to everyone who submitted, gonna be doing these at least once a month along with new themes! Also I’ll be hosting a leather strap giveaway on my instagram @kingjvpes. Stay tuned 🙂

That thing on the bike at 7:00 is a cup holder 🙂 I used to have one too
The shot with the “gates” is the Oculus in NYC.
Thank you @kingjvpes for noticing my photo and place it in the first place 🙏
these were all dope shots, maybe pick some to review that need some constructive criticism or that you could offer some real advice on improving, rather than shots where you’re like, yeah it’s a good shot 😂
Amazing! =) all photos are perfect! – I hope I can take good pictures like that! Good job guys!
I think Hannah was laying down. The one with the umbrella, to me wasn't clutter bit points the viewers eyes.
All of them were uniquely great!
Great video KingJvpes! I love critiques like these. I was amazed seeing each of the photos. These photos really inspire me to try out different compositions within my work. Keep'm comin' man!
I think you should encourage people not to send in their absolute best photos but some they are a bit on the fence about and would like some feedback, these were all too good to 'critique' imho.
Yes! these videos are really fucking great! imma send some of my pics for the next one
Bro how do I submit my photos?
Enjoy your channel but you don't need to cuss, your way more intelligent for that. That pic of the buildings and fence was probably shot using a fisheye lens. If so, great use of it.
Your critique session is awesome. Great images and your take on them are excellent.
#indo35mm
these are all great shots
Do a review on the fuji x series bro!!
Love the video such a great concept. This certainly inspires me to get out here and shoot.
The second photo, the first thing I noticed where the sneakers.
Hi Kingjvpes, was wondering if my mail was sent properly. I realised later on that the mail was maybe too big. But didn't receive a notification.
9:38 you dont know who the fuck that person is
You nailed my last name! Thanks for the critique 😁👍.
In case anyone is curious about the specs: photo was taken with a Pentax P30t with a 28mm on Tri-x 400, using a flash cord for indirect flash.
Taking the best pictures, and give cropping advice.. there are no rules in street photography, so you can't give a critique in my opinion
The 4th image is the first one I would consider a negative space composition. The other three before just don't quite fit that contrast between the subject & the environment like I was trained to look for. All of the images are great…it's just difficult to accomplish an extremely good negative space image.
When you subject is hiding under the umbrella "you don't know who dafaq is he"kills me thoo😂
I love your content, man. You inspired me to get into film and street photography.
That photo of the bus looks like it was taken decades ago. There aren't many of those old buses around anymore in the UK (I assume it was taken in the UK, probably London, given the style of bus, bus route, being B&W, and the women dressed up for a hen do).
capturing a "moment" is about timing…?
those photos are siiick makes me wanna go shooting
3:31 the photo looks like street phtography from the 1930s
1:49 the dog in the background too!
the shot at 8:10 is the oculus in NYC. some pretty funky architecture
