Lunch Atop A Skyscraper: The Story Behind The 1932 Photo | 100 Photos | TIME
Remarkable!
Same story as today, the ones that do all the work still don't get rocognized.
Real men of steel working dangerous job to feed & shelter his family during the Great Depression – thank you!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I always get tintelings on my feet and palms of my hands haha
Same as the romanians end many others today..
This is cultural appropriation. Oppressed Blacks designed and built this building and white men take the credit. And illegal Mexicans helped them. I'm tired of Europeans taking the credit for black achievement. Minorities built this country!! 😂😂😂🐒🍌❄☻🐒🍉🍗🍠⚰🚔🔫🔪🗿😂😋😋
I could not do that they seemed fearless .
Yup junior prob didnt give pops a whole lotta lip at the dinner table when he got home and kept that wrist stiff and straight whilst passing the spuds too
I don't see any femenists up there… Strange.
Photoshopped!
That brilliant picture is hanging in houses all around the world ..☘☘🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
Plot twist, the pic is photoshopped
All the millennials fainted
Now i know when Jim Beam was invented… breakfast b4 work
At frame 49 you can clearly see booze bottle on his left hand
At Frame 31 Guy on far right is actually holding booze bottle ….
Id do this. These days youd probably get double time for the hazardous environment and work conditions. Amazing that these guys did it for pennies just becauss those were the jobs that were available. Probably an unforgettable experience for these guys. Building something that matters, that you can see, that made a difference and was truly on the cutting edge of the day. They may not have gotten all the credit, but I bet they looked at that building with pride and nostalgia till the day they died. These guys were alot happier than someone running the cash register at taco bell despite the risk i gaurantee
The photographers are also insane!!!
There are some balls in this photograph!!!
A real man!!
Back in the days!
Just LOOKING at these pictures takes my breath away, causes my heart to race. Contemporaries ignorantly gainsay the heroics of 'men of old.' It was all true, and more.
Imagine if there is an earthquake.
Rockstar's
and how many did fall to their death?
I see no women. What, they weren't interested in equal rights and pay back in those days?
As the civilization grows, people get more Serious about life 😂
In middle of great depression they were desperate and needed the money and work
Immigrants built america
Wait a minute. This is highly offensive portraying white males as strong. How racist.
They didnt do it becouse it was fun. They did what they had to do. They just happen to have certain natural proclivities. My hats off to them. ALL of them!
THIS IS CALLED WHITE PRIVILEGE
Literally all white men
Mix bag of people? It’s all white people. Can’t you just say it. If it was all black people you would be saying black every other word.
If they fall they have massive balls to help them bounce
3:51 bruh my guy on the end has a bottle… im speechless
Looked into this And 4 of them died in 2nd world war 😿
That photo is from Rockefeller building
This is where feminism breaks down. The sheer number of men that have built the infrastructure for buildings, roads, bridges, plumbing, etc is staggering. The world is what it is today because of the many men willing to risk their lives to put food on the table for their families. Could women have accomplished these feats? Perhaps, but how many would sign up for such hard physical labor?
Ah shoot I dropped my sandwich!
It was better for these men to go unrecognized…Doing the actual work in the usa means nothing, especially today.
Nowadays you have to wear a hard hat to fix a bit of skirting board.
I dont understand, where are all the female workers?
The wind alone would have freaked me out
make a movie on them …11 balls ..oops sorry i still thing about that comment😂😁…may b some other title but definatly a movie…what u thing.
Is that made out of Valyrian steel?
