EXACTLY HOW TO KICK START your career in MUSIC PHOTOGRAPHY
This is a tactical, step by step guide on what you can do to kick start your career in music photography.
While not all the institutions and groups will be the same in your area I firmly believe that these guidelines will apply regardless of how it works in your city.
If not for council groups, then other battle of the bands companies would work just fine.
I think most people new to this are lost when it comes to “booking jobs”. This method will help you get working and cut your teeth whilst building connections and portfolio so that when the paying work starts to come in (and it will) you are ready and able to take it on.

Excellent inspiring advice in this one. Will try to adapt this strategy and make it work for me here in Germany. I'm in a rural area though, so…. let's see what I can come up with since there is more than one way to skin… uhm… photograph a cat.

Hey PJ, I have only been photographing gigs for just over a year in the UK, never thought of offering my services for battle of the band competitions locally, but have been shooting loads of local bands and will deffo try next year when they start up the competitions again. Great vid btw.

This is a pretty long one. I get that this information is not valuable to everyone, but I can pretty much guarantee that if you follow this guide you will start to make a name for yourself in your local scene and set yourself up for regular paying jobs. Happy shooting!
