Hello from Michigan. I think that the body of water you called a swamp is better described as a vernal pool. These are temporary bodies of water found in forests in spring and lasting into early summer. We have them in our forests too. Always appreciate your videos and learning from what you share.

Your forest, Tom, looks really luscious; it’s so different from the spring growth in so much of Australia. We don’t have a fully dormant time in winter, & so spring is not so spectacular. Your soil looks to be rather rich also. From the clothes you are wearing it must be still very cold.
I like your panoramas of the forest.

At 3:13, it's like you are wearing camo. Bright green and red perfectly match that stunning forest! Great vid.

    Thanks for this video, Tom.
Nice forest where you are. Here in Nova Scotia we rarely have a clear view of the forest floor, lots of brambles and scrub brush in densely packed forest.
Absolutely love the audio in this one. The bird song makes it all the more inviting.
I was wondering, how much overlap (percentage) do you have when making your panos? Does the amount of overlap change with focal length?

Hi Toma, thank you for sharing your thought process. Forest photography is probably what I enjoy most, particularly on a cloudy day. There is no pressure in forest photography unlike with sunrise/sunset and loving all the fresh spring leaves at the moment too. I have been trying to use my 70-200 much more in the Forest and I really think the compression helps, I seem to struggle translating a scene to a two dimensional image with anything less than 50mm for some reason. Have fun in Tuscany, also you need to visit the UK soon, you would love Snowdonia. Cheers, Paul.

Very inspiring video, especially because I got immediately reminded of a very similar forest near my place. Never tried to take a pano within the forest, will have to try. Thanks!

the forest is lovely – but I think it's hard to photography because for me, it is hard to get varied shots, maybe I just don't have that eye

Great video, Tom! I am from the upper Midwest in USA and this video is perfect to help me find these forest shots. We have no ocean, mountains like many where you are have. Thanks for sharing. Watch all your videos. You’re a rare photographer to do forest landscapes which are magnificently beautiful and peaceful
