Hey guys! Just put up a new vid: "What's in my Camera Bag for Engagement Sessions" If you enjoyed this one, check that one out here ►►► https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkvHXx7M9qE&t=1s
Did you use the 85mm at 1.4?? It is sharp enough wide open? Thanks!
The dog is amazing lol
What do you use the dog for?
Quite a lofty recommendation to suggest beginners get f/1.4 in any focal length. A Nikkor 85mm 1.4 is $1500, while a 50mm 1.4 is $500. There are cheaper alternatives that will deliver 95% the results of those aforementioned lenses, for example the 85mm 1.8 (~$400), and the 50mm 1.8 (less than $200). And the 50mm 1.8 has been shown to be sharper than the 1.4.
Upload more we love you 😭
PS don't shoot near "train tracks" you're gonna get killed.
Ok, first of all… that dog is adorable! The bride kid is always a must, especially when working with a bunch of girls the day of the wedding 🙂
Your hair is ridiculous ! <3
How do you stop people shooting over your shoulder with your poses? People with smart phones and DSLR cameras. Robbing your exclusivity.
Yes!!!! A fellow Nikon-Girl!!! I really love your videos and overall presentation Chelsea! Keep up the awesome flow of information!
Not sure if still using the AA Energizer batteries, but in the video said that rechargeable batteries recycle slower than Alkaline batteries. In fact NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride) rechargeable batteries recycle faster than alkaline batteries. In the manual for the Nikon SB-800 it says with 5 AA alkaline batteries the flash will recycle at full power in 5.0 seconds. With 5 NiMH rechargeable batteries the flash will recycle at full power in 2.9 seconds. See page 19 of the manual at: http://download.nikonimglib.com/archive2/9nBAS00MAAL201vA1P470ePJuS88/SB-800_EU(En)03.pdf
Wow, I bought those 4 important lenses for wedding photography, getting back into it after a 20 year absence. Except that this time I went with Canon, so my lenses are all Canon L glass, except for the 24-70mm where I went with Tamron because I wanted image stabilization so that I can avoid a tripod. And my favourite lens is also the 85mm f1.4 image stabilized lens. I also like the bokeh of this lens, and seeing things brighter in the viewfinder. Currently that is my fastest lens.
That dog is perfect.
This channel was honestly my favorite photography channel Love the information of every gear
Thank you so much for informative videos!!! Love your channel and will continue to watch all of your helpful photography tips and tricks 🙂
disposable batteries is kinda crazy! Considering you can blow thru 12 batteries in about 30 minutes if your using 3 speed lights. Unfortunately I'm still limited to speed lights due to funds. But I keep 3 in my bag, with about 36 backup rechargeables. I didn't know about the faster recycle times. But by the time thats a major issue for me, I'm sure I'll be using more powerful lights that use way more that AA!!!
Hey girlie. I was curious if you think the 85mm 1.8 would work for a newbie with plans to upgrade down the road? I know the benefits of the 1.4, but can’t justify the price just yet (just started this hobby).
The dog is very cute and gentle too. He is there all the time without making any noise.
Hey Chelsea, what made you go for 85 1.4D over the G? A video about the 85 could be cool.
poor dog
Hi Chelsea,
Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge with us. Love your videos.
I have a quick question, Do you send your lens or cameras out for "Maintenance" if you do how often? How would you recommend cleaning your lens, camera etc.?
Thank you,
Hi! Great Videos! Where do you find your video titles? PicMonkey?
Fantastic Talk, you are most knowledgeable!
Love your puppy so cute! Love my 85mm too!
So far I purchased the Sony a6000 and 85mm prime, 21mm prime, and looking to get 100mm prime.
Thanks
What was attached to the bottom of your camera? (Bracket?)
Why don't you shoot both cards raw? Why make one jpeg?
Awesome video 😊 I’m so excited to find someone shooting with Nikon!! 😊
This girl must have a lot of money.
The happiest person, ever. Your energy is contagious. Enjoyed your video. 🙂
The 70-200 2.8 VR1 on the table is still an awesome lens. The VR3 is out now but I still like the VR1. Thx for the video
Don't you use 2 cameras at weddings ? One for 'just in case' ?
So basically … BUY ALL THE EXPENSIVE SHIT
Sigma Art 135mm f/1.8
Yes a Nikon photographer !!!! I shoot with Nikon too
Thanks for the tips. I think that the range of lens fits right in with how I shoot. So I will probably pick up one or two of your suggestions.
You are great! I love that you show examples from each lens and are a Nikon shooter AND love your pup at the end 🙂
