Studio Stock Photography – Backlit fruit cross section – Sony a77 + 100mm macro lens
In this video I am taking a slice of lime and back-lighting it on various backgrounds.
It’s cool because you can see the cell walls.

I got to try that myself. It’s pretty cool.
Hi it is really nice. I have not micro lenses. I guess it is not possible for me. to take such a nice picture
Hi. For this shot, I used the Sony 100mm f2.8 Macro lens. I bought my a77 "body only" because I already had the Carl Zeiss 24-70 f2.8. I have read that the 16-50 kit lens with the a77 is very good, but have not personally had a chance to use it. It really depends on the type of stock photos you want to create. For people, the 16-50 is probably great… but if you want to do macro work, you will probably need a proper macro lens. I believe Sigma just came out with a great new 105mm macro
Thanks for the reply, I'm thinking of getting the a77. I currently have the a55 with he 16-50 f2.8 SSM. Keep up the good work, I love your videos.
Thanks! Yes, I still use the a77 almost daily. Most of my recent work is in the studio, where the a77 preforms great. In general, there are a few minor things that annoy me, but I'm hoping some of them can be fixed with the next firmware update.
Awesome pictures! Are you still using the A77? How do you like the camera so far?
Great one 🙂 you are the man 🙂
