Light painting is a beautiful abstract lighting technique that can effortlessly evoke colour and energy from a composition. Longer shutter speeds allow bright light to be “painted” across the sensor, resulting in swirling lines of light and pattern. By lighting our product separately using speedlights, we can cull and composite the strongest light patterns into our shot. Let me run you through my workphlo for how to photograph bottles with a light painted background.

How would you do the same technique with an image that needs to be focus stacked?
It's amazing.
This is actually a perfect explanation of compositing for product photography in 15 minutes.
Gracias por compartir estas excelentes técnicas, Eres el Mejor…
Saludos desde Venezuela…!

So cool!
Awesome video Dustin. Keep them up!
you are amazing!
amazing
I've been loving your videos and this one is no exception! Very well done. I'd like to make a suggestion. I'd love to see you make a video showing how you build up the lighting on a product from start to finish. Then a second video showing a detailed live post-production session of the product from the first video. Lots of work I realize, but I think with certain products it would be great to follow along as you import into PS and then watch layer by layer. Something to consider….please keep up the great work, it is much appreciated!
you never miss a beat in your tutorials! I appreciate how you breeze through teaching without missing any information. Also, a little side tether is pretty helpful 😁 thanks for sharing!!
Instead of scale use edit->Content Aware Scale.
Sensacional, obrigado por compartilhar.

Love your stuff, great tutorials and very useful. I think the side tether is really useful since your brain takes a couple seconds when switching between the fullscreen photo / video. Whereas you dont have that issue when they are side by side. Keep it up, learning lots from these.
Dustin…great work. Love your channel. I'm trying to 'up my game' in Photoshop. I started an online course, but I'm not sure the instructor is getting it done for me. I won't mention the course, but do you have a recommendation for an online Photoshop course/tutorial? Thanks so much…keep up the good work.
Aw deym so cool, might apply to my offroading products photography
