What's In My Wedding Photography Camera Bag
Because no one asked for it, here’s a look at the gear that I bring with me to every wedding I shoot, when I use it during the day and why I keep it in my bag. I mostly shoot Nikon, so pardon the excess amount of black and gold in this video.

using the different cameras, how is the consistency of rendition between them…. I heard one fellow say that he could not get his newer cameras to match the colours he was getting with his d700, which was not ideal for a wedding when you want a consistent look
What did you start out with when you first got into wedding photography? Obviously you have been doing it for many years but there is a starting point. you have an impressive amount of gear now. Thank you for the video

Very nice video and gear, George. Really liked your video. Subscribed.
i go on vacations with less luggage than this
Wow too much gear. Thanks for sharing.
I’m a student, so I want to spend my money as smart as possible. I also want to shoot weddings with my Nikons D750. I also want buy the Tamron 24-70. Do you think the G2 is worth the money or should I buy the old version and save the money to buy the 70-200 in the future?
You have too much gingham and way too much tiki. Most of it is wasted. Work on that.
Always nice to have a backup camera…….says the man with 3 Cameras on the table already. 🙂
Totally over packed and show off crap
impressive. BTW, love the style of the room.
What are you using now George? D810 or D3/4/5?
You are Too campy it's annoying
WOW you have bought out the entire Nikon store. It is good to be prepared and to have all you need and also backups. I don't think I would carry all my equipment with me. I heard you say you watch is closely while out. I normally shoot weddings alone and I couldn't not risk my stuff getting stolen. This is amazing and I am building up my equipment, thanks for sharing.
3:05 what is the name? And what does this thing actually do?
Thanks in advance
I shoot weddings getting pay 3300to 5000 dollars I only have 2 cameras canon 4 lens
Wait why so much gear
What about for beginners in portrait photography?
Nice video and well done. I am curious. Is the D810 suitable for ceremonies and a reception shooting with the AA filter removed. Reason I ask, as a Canon user, I was thinking of getting the 5DS-R which also has the AA filter removed, and I wanted to know does the removal of that filter cause any problems for shooting weddings…Thanks.
Philip
Hi, I can appreciate that you are quite into this great world.
And I have some questions, that you might solve
What do you think about the Nikon D700? I have recently bought one, and I haven't been at a shoot to test it out
And about the Nikkor AF-S 80-200mm f/2.8D IF ED?
I'm about to buy a Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8G ED, but I'm doubting. Because the Nikkor AF-S 28-70mm f/2.8D it's a good option maybe. If it has the same quality as the 80-200 has, I would be pleased. But on the other hand, at first I couldn't afford a 70-200 f/2.8 VRII, so I bought the 80-200. And now, with this particular mid range zoom lens, I would like to know if their (24-70mm & 28-70mm) sharpness is similar, or not.
Best of luck from Argentina !
great stuff..
costwise how much is this,
How about the Nikon 200mm F2 ?
Hi George …Nice collection..! just need ur advice i have a nikon d750 and need a second body as u have d4s and d810 so which one would be better for weddings..? Thanks
can i have the name of the strap system you have? Thanks 🙂
Time to pack everything back
Thoughts on using a d500 for weddings?
At first someone might find it intimidating and think that all that gear is unecessary … but if you think harder , it's just ok.
Here is my take ;"If you take your photography business seriously why not invest in the best gear to help you get the job done especially when you get paid well enough for it ?"
There are other photographers who invested in $50,000 medium format gear 😉
My ideal set up: Nikon D810 (portraiture) + 2 Nikon D750 (event) + Nikon d500 (back up) Other wise : Nikon D810 + Nikon D5
Lenses : 24-70 f2.8 ; 70-200 f2.8 ; 35 mm 1.4G ; 85 mm 1.4G +105 mm macro + 50mm 1.8G
Γιώργο, είσαι αρχηγός!
A 24mm f1.4 would be good for large group shots, I have been taking pictures for our family reunions, family outings and weddings with my zoom 24-105mm f4, so do you think a 24mm f1.4 would be worth the investment to take group shots?
I have my camera and lens in a Peligan hardcase 100% water proof.
3:55, what's going on behind the bag on the left? is that a cat's tail?
is this next to a bar? wondering why the distracting rock and roll is playing in the background?
what is your go to potriat lens?
That's intetesting bag on your left, what's the brand of it?
do you ever used d610 ?if yes whats your opinion 'bout that ?
Hahaha Nice video George! Love the gear!
Hey George. Great vid & awesome kit. What would you recommend for someone starting off as a wedding photographer. Camera, 3 lenses, Flash.. etc. Thanks alot.
I think you may need to look up the definition of essential. I am all for being prepared, but there is no "need" for four bodies at a WEDDING… short of an EMP going off.
Far too much non-essential gear.
