Most photographers are introverts.. Sorry for this.

  2. Charles Ludwig says

Photojournalist? Think about it. He interacts with the subject (manipulating subject) and delivers to the Propagandist ( National Geographic) who pay for images that advance their narrative. Of course NBC appreciates this sort of "photojournalist" to move their own leftist agenda which requires faking most everything.

Great interview! Best of the series.

  15. Robert McGlon says

99% of photographers dream to have just one photo that is legendary. Most shoot all their lives and never achieve the notoriety of the "Afgan Girl" photo, or it comes after they've passed on.

  16. Phil Jones65 says

Oh this is the guy who faked photos and did a photoshop job to massage them into what he wanted. Lost all respect for McCurry after that removing people from shots, paying people to take fake shots at a train station. This man deserves no credit

  17. Fairuz Osman says

Do you pay the Indian boys to carry the luggage per hour or per day? #fraud

  18. David Collett says

How bad can an interview be? Iconic photographer, just listen to him, don’t interrupt continually. And hire a real cameraman and sound recordist. Background noise is dreadful. End result, unwatchable.

  19. Angelo Fechter says

    the king of photoshop

  20. Timothy Roper says

There are many lessons here, but the big one for photographers is, study filmmaking, even if you don't plan to shoot video. The lighting, the framing, the story…it's all there, and at a much higher and more developed level than any kind of photography class or books.

  21. Zoe Rose says

the background noise is very distracting especially since they have mics on their shirts…

  22. Kevin Liwang says

I just curious how he sent his pictures in war zone on that time?
The place that no electricity, roads, and even internet.

  23. Don Conrard says

Steve McCurry must tire of telling the Afgan girl photo story. Every interviewer askes him to talk about it.

  24. Greeshma Anantharaman says
