Got to be honest, the flash looks terrible from 7:02 onwards…Obviously you have to take the photos the client wants but it would have looked so much better without flash just as low-light shots.
great review! what focus mode and zoning do you use during the event? thanks!
Great photos and video! what's the film simulation that was used for those photos?
Wow! Fuji! 😯
Bare flashes!!! Shot my first 2 weddings with the fujifilm xt2. So much fun.
My brain hurts when people put lenses on concrete surfaces
I really like these type of formats for informal reviews. Good stuff. "Reportage" type photography is my favourite.
What a beautiful place to use the X-T2, great video and review.
That baseball cap though 🙂
i bought the xt2 recently and i noticed the noise it produce event at iso 400/ 640 is bad. anyone experiencing this? or this is just my camera not working well?
the jpeg line is the one i'll most remember from this film! good thing you're a good photographer with an excellent camera!
all your shots were great Carey!
a lot of the dusk photos failed to captured the ambience light, flash set too powerful. Great camera though, just picked one up with 10-14, F/4 56 F/1.2. Definitely wouldn't use it as a main and definitely not my only camera at a wedding. Maybe secondary for group shots, but why god shoot F/8 on a crop body? I have no issues with eyes in focus for F/4-F/5.6
"While the sun set and Carey took some time to ponder the series of questionable life choices that had led him to this unhappy point" is a great line; very funny. Been there 🙂
perfect… just please give the link for radio system that you used top of camera and mounted with 2 flashes? thank u
Was the video also shot with the Fuji?
do we have a non-sponsored field review/comparison of Fuji XT2 vs Sony A7R2 please
What film saturation did you use? Guessing velvia or vivid? Thanks
Gosh! Just for the sake of it, I wrote down the lenses used, and checked their prices. Total of US$ 7,000 in glass! Plus US$ 1,600 for the body, and some flashes here and there, SD cards, let's call it US$400. Plus the small printer, and some cabling, tripods, bags, smartphones for the file transfers and etc. So, one will be shelling out around US$ 10,000 for a professional wedding coverage gear, starting from scratch. Let alone the necessary skills. Ah… and that's just for the PHOTOS. No video coverage.
those lens are so gonna drain your bank account
9:33 – that moment, when you accidentally release the shutter and the flash stuns you and you lose vision for a few seconds… 😀
some of those shots look underexposed .
Thank you so so much for documenting this footage. Very great examples and live usage of fuji's system and wide range of lenses!

@Carey Rose: Since you shot jpeg only, what film simulation modes did you use? I own the X-T2 since September and plan to shoot it on a wedding. Thanks for your answer!
love it !
@carey rose Hello Carey. Do you know if you missed IR focus assist that's available on Canon & Nikon cameras, when using the XT-2? I use a Canon 5D3 & love the focus assist for low-light dance floor stuff. I know that Fuji's newest speedlite offers it but it's a combo LED video light as well as focus assist. Did you ever have any issues locking focus in low-light? That's my concern before making the jump & switching systems. Thank you!
Nice video and demo of the Fuji XT-2 system and lenses. (I use the X-Pro2 with Fujinon glass, and agree that the optics are superb.) My question is, what was the reasoning behind using the new Fuji flashes vs. the smaller, lighter, much less expensive but very capable nissin i60A with Air Commander1? Thank you.
You know they shoot full frame by how many heads they cut off.
Thanks for the video. I can see that you rate (star) images in camera. I wanna do the same but Lightroom does not read that info. How did you make use of this feature? Thanks
Trank u 😊
Hello what tripod did you use? thanks.
Absolutely beautiful photos
its obviously a fuji ad. and the jpg / raw thing was for the sake of telling people how great the jpg is. but the XT2 is a great camera. i wouldve bought one if it had a fully functional TOUCH SCREEN. and IBIS would be great also. fuji is the last company not to get that people want touch screens. All other flagship cameras have one. Canon 1DX / 5D4 Nikon D5 Olympus EM1 2 / panasonic GH5. Sony A6500. Haselblad DX1. Leica SL. fuji needs to wake up
I am noticing your skin tones here look very red. Have you found that to be the natural way of things out of camera or is that something you are doing in post for some reason.
what is her shoulder bag???
what song do they play at 9:31
06:50 nice candid
