Osaka Naomi is a professional Tennis Player who represents Japan Country. She was born on October 16, 1997 Chuo-Ku, Osaka in Japan. Her parents are Tamaki Osaka and Leonard Francois. Osaka’s father is from Haiti and her mother is from Hokkaido, Japan. Naomi has an older sister named Mari who is also a professional tennis player. Her parents had met when her father was visiting Hokkaido while he was a college student in New York, USA.
Naomi lives in Boca-Ration, Florida, United States. Her father is a Haitian and a Japanese mother, Osaka came to prominence at the age of 16 when she defeated former US Open Champion Samantha Stosur in her WTA Tour debut at the 2014 Stanford Classic.
Naomi is the reigning champion in women’s singles Australian Open and the US Open. She is ranked No. 1 in the world by the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) and is the first Asian Player to hold the top ranking in singles. Naomi has won three titles and reached five finals on the WTA Tour. In 2016, she reached her first WTA final at the Pan Pacific Open in Japan to enter the top 50 of the WTA rankings. Naomi Osaka made her breakthrough into the upper echelon of women’s tennis in 2018, when she won her first at the “Indian Wells Open”. Osaka won the US Open in the same year in September, defeating 23- time major champion Serena Williams in the final to become the first Japanese player to win a Grand Slam singles tournament. Naomi Osaka won her second Grand Slam title at the 2019 Australian Open.
She is known for her Multi-Ethnic background and candid personality. On the Tennis court, Naomi has an aggressive playing style with a powerful serve that can reach 125 miles per hour or 200 kilometres per hour.

After watching Naomi win the Australian open…. Her joy and happiness seemed muted in someway…As a reader of minds and souls, I think she has begun to "see" the racism side of the tennis world especially the media who address her as Japanese and not address her black side….We all know why, without going into detail.. I can see it bothers her but she hasn't found her voice yet to address the subject…At some point in her career, I hope in one of her televised or not televised interviews she addresses this with a response of " Haitian/ Japanese would be appropriate because that's what I am, and I wouldn't change it for the world….😏😔😏☺️

and the tennis reff who attacked Serena? the LTA should deal with him most harshly. it was an attack for sure, calculated and deliberate and spoiled Osaka's victory. Osaka would have won anyway. there is no way at all that Serena would defeat Osaka that day.
but the disgusting reff imposed himself on the game unduly and without point and necessity…imposed himself to the ill-repute of the game. his career as a tennis reff should be over
I bet against Serena Williams twice now and won big time..although I am a life long Serena-Phile
Serena Williams is the greatest women's tennis player we have know so far purely on tennis..ability, toughness, heart and determination and results..all combined. Serena can also in this regard be compared to the male tennis players also..and will likely score heavily as one of the greatest players ever of both sexes.
why did I bet against her?
Serena has a few fundamental facts working against her at this point of her career that I consider impossible for her to overcome… the most important of which is that she has peaked and by age and natural decline from her peak, is on a downward slope that is as natural as day..and will see the fine young players, those with championship make-up defeat Serene when it counts..the finals and semi finals of tourneys.
I don't expect Serena to win big again especially the big tourneys because the girls who beat her at Wimbledon and the USA open will play and she wont beat those girls again. very unlikely. Osaka in particular is trending upwards and she is a real skilled player. she can only get better, realize more of the ability she has in her, while Serena declines at age 36. that again part of the championship calibre of Serena. she is 36 and and still beats all to the final where only the best on the rise cant stop her
but the best on the rise almost always stops the established and the peaked in all sports. you have to know the time frames involved so you can tell when the peaked champion will begin to fall. and this is Serenas time to fall. Serena is most unlikely to beat those 2 young women who defeated her in July and September again. if she does then mark her down as the greatest tennis player who ever existed.
realistically we have seen the passage of Williams as champion, rate her as the best woman and one of the best ten male or female
