Photographer interviews 71-year-old musician Curtis Byrge
Photographer Rachael Boillot interviews 71-year-old Curtis Byrge, a musician who grew up in the coal mining region of the Cumberland Mountain. Boillot is spending the summer photographing old-time musicians of the Cumberland Plateau as part of a grant from the Riverview Foundation. Her images and interviews will help document the artists who will be featured on the Sandrock Recordings, a small record label recently launched by Friends of the Cumberland Trail to benefit the Cumberland Trail State Scenic Trail.
