    None of this goes too far into the pre-christian origins of any of these things. It should be called "The christian origins of wedding stuff: Evil spirits edition"…. The Honey Moon was Norse in Origin a groom would keep Honey mead hidden away until the first full moon after a wedding. If it was discovered by the bride or if it was consumed at an inappropriate time it was a sign of a cursed marriage. It prophesied bad luck.
