Those commenting that I should have used Pixel phone instead of OP7 Pro GCam – guys, I didn't mean to compare OnePlus 7 Pro & Pixel 3 – this is a comparison between Nightscape 2.0 and Night Sight – the technologies!
If Pixel 3's Night Sight images are better than OP7 Pro's Nightscape 2.0 images, then the reason for that would be Pixel 3's camera hardware, not Night Sight.
The right way to compare two Night Mode technologies is to use them on the same phone (same hardware, same camera, same ISP, only the night mode tech is different)

But the photos on OnePlus 7 have so much noise – it's unusable when you want a usable pic – secondly it's ridiculous to compare an unofficial ported app and the feature it offers to the Official camera app and then call in nightshift – Google's camera magic isn't just software – if it was then any phone with a working Gcam mod will get you photos like the Pixel and that doesn't happen – hence please stick to comparing the real deal – this video is misleading – sure OnePlus has improved no doubt about it but is it nightsight good – absolutely not – the title makes you believe otherwise – loved the effort you put in and the presentation but the content is absolutely misleading

Are you blind? Brighter doesn't mean better. Night sight controls the noise sooo much better. Images should have darker and lighter area's. That's normal and natural.

Hey, nightsight isn't optimized for op7 yet. You might get soft images.
Plus the awb isn't yet fixed & so isn't awb hdr mode yet.
In my testing, only poco f1 & moto g5 plus utilize nightsight effectively.
Poco f1, cuz it has imx 363 sensor, same as in pixel 3, while g5 plus, cuz it has imx 362, same as in pixel 2.
Hence, the sensor noise – denoise parameters & black level's are rendered accurately.
Problem with other devices is that, reengineering java code using smali/baksmali results in the loss of data.
Hence the issues in level 3 functions of camera2api like portrait mode & nightsight.

Very nice video, but I'd like to see a comparison between Nightscape 2.0 and Night Sight on the Pixel 3, since Night Sight was made and is optimised for Pixel devices, so it should perform better on them.
