He gave his reasons for having the pole-mount for his camera, stupid. It's a good idea. It's also handy for people with slightly shaky hands (like me). And if you have a look at the mags these days, most high fashion shoots ARE from above or below.
Which flash? The big one or the small that he pulled out and had on a pole? The big one is a soft box, the small is a slave. Any pro shop will know what you're talking about when you ask for them. 🙂
