We went to Mukutmanipur and Purulia with the students of class X. And there were 7 of our teachers. Right from the beginning the troubles begin. The bus was very narrow. Nobody could sleep at night. When the dawn came up we were still 50 kms away from our destination. At this point, the dilapidated bus gave up. Its tyre punctured and the engine was totally defunct. We were in the middle of the road, with the students. After a couple of hours, we took a passing passenger bus and reached our spot. The day passed in heat and humidity. I did some photography, had lunch in the grove and then hiked a mile. The body was already giving up. But the students, the young blood – they were untiring. The bus didn’t show up. We hired another one and came to our next spot, Purulia. Next day we again hopped on the different sight seeing spots. The students enjoyed to their hearts’ content and finally we came back on the next day morning.
