I'm sure I'm going to get a lot of flack for this video. Sorry not sorry? Where're my #teamfuji folks at?
I'm going to be shooting a friend's wedding on an xt20! I just KNOW everyone will think it's a film camera! 😂
Can’t pinpoint it to but OMG I love my Fuji (xt-30)
It’s a complete experience for me.
Dude – you are in no way alone shooting a smaller form factor for weddings. I guess it depends on your style, but I would definitely recommend you take a look at the channels of Kevin Mullins and Neale James both of whom shoot weddings documentary style with Fuji. Neale tends a bit more towards an interview (but imho they are the best on YT) whereas Kevin tends towards the actual process of being a wedding photographer.
Might be getting a xt2…used with a grip and two batteries…$800…that's a steal!
Great video! I'm a Fuji xt2 wedding photographer and you're right in regards to the colour profiles, amazing, I wouldn't use anything else.
How do you find those f2 lenses for weddings? fast enough in low light?
You Can Not beat the Fujifilm image quality that their lenses produce.
Hello, I have a question, I am canon shooter but I am thinking change to Fuyi, I will buy Tx3 and I planning work with both sistems for a while, which lens you recommend 16-55 or 18-55? I heard that all the fuyi lenses are very good.
Hi Man,
I sold my canon gears I need advice xt-2 or 3?
Thank you !
God has given you one great personality! Your enthusiasm is contagious! I found myself smiling all through your presentation! Keep smiling and shooting! Hello from Texas 🙂
I didn’t switch over from anything. Jumped straight to Fuji because I wanted a camera with a retro look and fun to shoot. I immediately saw all the over hype nonsense for Sony and didn’t want to fall in that trap. Also Canon and Nikon way too big. Friends of mine who see some of my pics can’t believe it’s not full frame. Pictures will always be better when using tools that you feel good using. So for a year now, Fuji has been amazing for me.
I'm making the switch! Bye bye D850 and all heavy nikon lenses – hello X-H1 and X-T3 and all the Fuji lenses!
Great video! I'm a longtime Canon user who is just switching to Fuji XT3. I'm also a new subscriber to your channel. Keep on making fantastic content!
@gallary24_pictures i shot with fuji xt20

Oh you must be a Fuji Fruitcake.
Image quality for $ spent! Fuji is totally worth it =) great video man
Man first time I see you on you tube ,i am a Canon shooter but I enjoyed a lot your video, you got my subscription
I hear fuji saying "you are not medium".
With this constant arguing about full frame against APS-C tell me one thing… Maybe I'm wrong: as an example when you have exposure with settings on APS-C like F 2.8 ISO 1600 SS 1/125 to have same depth of field size and exposure we would have to set F 4 ISO 3200 and SS 1/125. So that would mean that on APS-C we have 1600 ISO because we gather more light and on FF we have 3200… What really neglates high iso performance of FF sensor…
The average smartphone shoots at f16 FF equiv. Fuji Aps-c at f1,8. FF can usually go down to f1,2. So, the average smartphone user aka your wedding client, is not probably going to see any difference between camera formats rather the huge difference between his/her own experience and a photo camera, any photo camera. Ftm at least, because A.I. may change things in the future a bit.
Fuji xt2. Came from Nikon and I love the Fuji color and prime lenses.
How about battery durability??
This is a fantastic video, really well done and awesome energy! I also shoot weddings in Lebanon (the middle east) with my xt2 and xt3 🙂
I use XH1 for wedding videography🤡
Didn't "switch" per se but I added an X-t3 and an X-pro2 to my Canon lineup. I love Fuji for all the mentioned reasons but there are still too many things that I love about my 5Dmkiii (including the tilt-shift lenses) to part with it. I do find that 75% of the time I grab my Fuji on the way out the house, though.
Haha mate I’m the same, had canon 6d, dual moneymaker etc and just picked up an xt3. Had the x100s in the past but it let me down on low light and tracking. Loving the new one!
Great stuff! I switched a few years back from Nikon and haven't looked back. The EVF takes some getting used to, but you are correct, the color profiles are great and you can fine tune them for unbeliable results.
Fuji gang.
I shoot Fuji, for Street, Landscapes, Travel. I use my Fullframe for the pro stuff, but mostly side by side. See what comes up best. I know lots of photog that shoot weddings with Fuji, portraits with Fuji. No worries, it US snobbery.
Also why are switchers from FF preaching ooooh bokeh is overrated, oh my gosh m43/aps c are so light, etc. while FF shooters I know doesn't shove oh bokeh this bokeh that down to anyone's throats lol. Seems insecurity for me.
How about the dof and iso vs an FF? Can the aps c beat it?
Yup, moved two years ago from Nikon Full Frame to Fuji. No regrets here. It's not that the Nikon was bad, but it was heavy and expensive (D800 with big lenses). The price/quality ratio is so good with Fuji.
Hey John this was great video. Thank you for your honesty.
great video I been using Fuji for a time I do love my x pro1 and x-t1 (getting a bit battered know ) looking at upgrading but I just can't yet
Cool video.. I changed because of the weight, color profiles and stylish. First i used for street photographer and then wedding, headshot and studio now. My first one was a fujifilm X-E1 then X-T10, X-T1 and now X-H1.
Which AF modes are you using for weddings? AFC or AF-S with the shutter or back button focus like? Using the joystick or relying on face or eye detection?
nice video and yes I love my Fuji's – have three xt2's and a xt3 and two xt1's and all fantastic – have grip with the xt2's –
I love the size and weight – and even with grip not to large and heavy – and yes the 56 for example is sweet – but there is no perfect system – and I have some gripe with the aperture rings on some of the older lenses like the 56 and 35 and 23 etc – to soft – so I bumped it often – but optically they are fantastic and reasonably priced –
I have a gripe with Fuji for not updating the XT1 to allow users to Map the Display button to another button – they did it on the XT2 via firmware – I have having Display on left hand side –
one other thing – grain in XT3 – they bumped the MP to 26 – I was fine with 24 – so now the XT3 has back side lit sensor – and yes a marginally better clarity in low light – but a whole lot more grain 🙁 I am happier with the XT2 output – so a bummer – maybe something they can address with firmware hopefully – of course yes many nice improvements with the xt3 –
one more – I have some silver models as well both in xt2 and xt3 – on the xt2 the right side next to LCD is Silver and one can see the joystick very easy – on xt3 it is black and joystick is black so harder to locate – but not a major issue
I do have the Sony A7 III and yes images are much cleaner at ISO above 3200 – but it just is not the same to use – not the fun factor and of course the FF lenses get to be large and heavy –
There was a deal on the Xpro1, I noticed that with Fuji camaras you disappeared and became just a photographer. Getting shots that with larger cameras and lens would make people look at you.
I’m a Sony a7iii shooter but bought a x100f as an everyday carry around camera and it is my gateway drug to Fuji! Now I picked up an xt-20 for cheap with the 56mm 1.2 and god its amazing! Still shoot Sony being that I do a lot of video but for photo Fuji is amazing!
Great video! Love your honesty as well. I'm currently a Canon user looking to make a switch and currently going over my options. May need to go nyc one of these days and play with some demos 😜✌🏼️👍🏼📸
Cutest video ever! I've been on the fence about trying Fuji. I think I better rent one as you said. I am sure I will love it. I love everything vintage and I end up editing my photos in fuji like style anyway…plus I have started using Capture one…thank for the video, really enjoyed it🙂
i be shootin w fujj from the onset and not switchin
Hey man, great video! I come from canon too (4 years ago…) and what can I say! I shoot ALL my weddings (over 20 now) with Fuji. So u not alone in this decision my friend 😁 here’s my website in case u curious about my photos too http://www.crisphotography.info. I personally go for 2 X-T2 bodies with a 23, 56, a 90 and a 10-24. I always have my x100F also of course for the candid shots that are… even more candid! Thanks for sharing your experience – much appreciated! Cheers
