Wonderful tutorial, thank you! I don't know if this has been asked before, but let's imagine this was for the dessert menu of a gig you're doing for a restaurant. What sort of theme would the rest of the menu take on? Would you use many of the same style props, backgrounds, etc. (I'm assuming the entrees might fall into a diifferent theme if it isn't dark food.
i dont like i…
Great video! thanks for the great tips!
HOW TO SHOOT HAMBURGERS???
It's really amazing how you make it look so easy. I subscribed to your channel after 5 minutes. Congratulations. I will recommend you to my friends. Please keep up with your awesome work.
Thank you so much for kind information about Dark Food Photography….
love you, but could you please be more assertive on your videos? I understand YT pays you more for longer videos, but 17 mins for something you could've done in 5 is bit too much isn't it?
Where is the backdrop from 😍😍😍😍😍
thanks very like ur content
love your videos
You rock, thank you SO much for this tutorial!
Brilliant ! you Rock!
I am hoping that you will read this and help…. I don't have a continuous light source but my Bowens studio lights (flash). Can I still use this for dark product photography? I don't do food but a different product but it is a low product, like food, and not tall etc. I have recently bought 2 soft boxes; one a strip soft box and one a square soft box.
I watched this about 6 months ago and whilst I enjoyed it, I had no clue how to do what you just did … I just watched it again and BINGO! I get it! My messing about and practice I am hoping will pay off eventually! Thank you Joanie, love your videos xx
i looooveee your photography videos!!
Where do you buy your lovely backdrop material from?
Love the laugh it's breaking the ice.. very helpful tips indeed.. keep going.. cheers
you're the best! thank you so much!
Joanie, as always an amazing video. Professional, informative and edited to perfection. Now I hope you don't mind me asking but I have been asked to do my very first restaurant shoot for a soon to open Sushi place. Any tips you might have on preferred lens ? I shoot with an APSC and I am thinking a 10-18mm ( on the cropped sensor ) for interior shots and maybe a a 60mm for the food shots ? I am betting on natural light but will bring some LEDs
I just started food/product photography and I find your videos very helpful. One detail I did find distracting is the constant change between the computer screen shot and your main shot, specially when you're adjusting settings and switch to the main shot. Maybe stay on the computer screen shot a little longer while you adjust. Just a suggestion.
OMG you have help me so much!!! i am very grateful!
Joanie,
I absolutely loved this video it’s the first dark food Photography I’ve seen and I kept on watching it over and over. Do you have any video lessons on dark food photography?
do you make photography for living? do you sell photos? regards
I love your contents and how you deliver it.
Thank you
This is a fab video. The only thing was it was a little distracting with the sudden cuts back from the image being edited on the laptop to you talking to us on the laptop. Apart from that absolutely loved it, thankyou!
Hello.
You were explaining what you were doing in Lightroom, but showing your face. You didn’t seem to revisit or review when you switched back to the screen shot.
As a result there are a number of things I was listening to you say, but I have no visual of what your words mean.
you are my superstar :)) thank you
Never mind!
Love this video! Did you use the strobe in this shoot?
Love your videos!!! Thank you for the tips!
Love your wooden baseboard surface, can you tell me how/where you got or made that?
I've always been an outdoor and portrait photographer and have recently taken on food photography for work. It's a whole different ball park and your videos have been so helpful for someone like me. I doubt you'll see this but you're fantastic. Your enthusiasm makes it less intimidating and more exciting to take on. keep on keepin on!
Can we see before and after side by side in edit in Lightroom ?
WooooW!!! great nice vid!!
