On the heels of the calls for Governor Rick Snyder’s (R-Mich.) resignation over the poisoned water in Flint, Mich. comes a new shocking scandal involving the deplorable conditions Detroit kids and teachers have to put up with in their schools.
Mold, roaches, feces, buckling floors, fungus, leaking ceilings — Detroit teachers have had enough of inept leadership and an Emergency Management department willing to turn a blind eye to the hazardous conditions of their public schools.
So the teachers and staff of these schools took to Twitter under the hashtag #SupportDPSTeachers to post pictures of exactly the kind of conditions kids are forced to learn in.

City health clinics don't look any better. The people in power would rather spend our tax dollars on the military and prison systems. Don't need an education or good health to follow commands or live in a cage.

i went to cleveland schools in the 90's and that is what it looked like. I heard they have gotten better though.
To many payed off politicians for years have fooled the American people for years like sheep to the slaughter house. That its okay to compete with slave wages, unfair trade ect. All in the name of free trade. Regardless of the consequences. That is the thinking of many billionaires and greedy business people that dont care how a product is made. Safely, fairly, or not.
Jobs for people of all talents and abilities no one left behind. How often to labels matter, to most they dont, because they have been made to think like sheep. Well it should matter, support American Made. American Companies that make products Made in the USA. And keep the money here in the USA, and will pay a little more in taxes to keep America strong. We need to hold the administration of the school responsible as well. If they wanted something fo be done about this, the Principal should have been sending letters, calling the parents. The teachers should not have had to jeopardize their jobs to do what they did. Thank God 4 Teacher. We see who really cares about the kids.

Not only is it despicable conditions to have children in, it's also illegal. Well, not sure how it works state side, but any buildings in these disgusting health hazardous disasters would be closed down. Are the health inspections being passed, cause there's definitely persons' not doing their jobs and putting young vulnerable lives at risk.
In my school there was a broken tile it was cracked a bit next day it and surrounding tiles were replaced in a heart beat
