helps answer the sometimes hard to find question – How many photos have been taken with my camera
A initially learned photography as a kid shooting black & white then developing the photos in a dark room, that was a magical time and sparked my interest in photography. As I got older I dabbled in digital photography but wasn't until my kids were born that i really started to get an active interest back in it all.

Kent: I use this site with an Olympus Epl1 jpeg photo and (I tried a few) the information about shutter doesn¨t appear. A warning about exif information corrupted appears, but I don´t understad what to do. Thanks for helping me this.
Could you advise how many shutter clicks before a camera starts to "break down"? Approximation would be great!! Fantastic info!!!
Not working for 5D mark II eider….
Doesn't work rubbish site 🙁
Doesn't work with the 7D
Like anything, the more it's used the more wore it becomes. A camera with 387,000 shutter releases will usually have issues before a brand new model. Good question, thanks.
does it matter much?
beside u know how much it has been used,…
… do i need to worry abt how much,, do they shutter get broke or something after sort of amount ??
tried it and got the result instant….and you made me to subscribe you at the same time…thanks a lot.
I just tried it with a kodak picture and a 650d picture and shutter count did not show for either.
Pretty neat!
love your channel on photography, instantly subscribed!
Unfortunately, some Canon models hide the data very well.
Don't know why, but in my case there is no shutter count info (Canon 40D)
nice video ..
does it work with all cameras?
over the past year with my 7D, ive filled up approximately eight 8GB memory cards, but four of those were filled with RAW images, not JPEG, and den, well, a lot of other 4gbs, ive been on many trips and taken many thousands of pictures. i hope that my camera will sell for a good price if i ever wish to sell it, but ill be using it for many more years.
