I have been enjoying your macro videos. You do great work. On this video I have a technical question. If you use live-view the mirror has to be raised, otherwise you could not use live-view. Therefore, I believe, there is no need to raise the mirror. In fact, I have read that using Mirror Lock Up may create some vibration when the shutter opens. In live-view the shutter is open and the exposure is initiated electronically, so there is no movement at all. So I think you may have made a mistake in your live-view vs mirror lock up comment.
Did you say the backgrounds were custom made? Are they for sale. I know anyone can make backgrounds, but I never get around to it.
I have a Problem with Macro Photography. the depth of field is not enough to have a flower complete sharp.
great work
Great video Stewart !
Great video Stewart !
I tried to use extension tubes to get closer but I had a trade off in sharpness. Is this normal? Is cropping the better alternative?
Hi Stewart Great video again and some ideas for close ups, I like the idea of small coloured cards, I will be making a set, look forward to your next video. PS I sorted my other problem with the Link to Jason's site, I did not open (more ) to see the Link. Many thanks Welshman 2081
Nice video Stewart, this is a great idea for a rainy day like today. How you made the cards would interest me. I'm going to share this video on my FB page. Thanks.
Stewart, I truly enjoy your videos and I find them both inspirational and informative. I really like the background cards on the ring that you use here and I am interested in learning more about them. Is there somewhere that I can purchase a set of them?
So good!
A very good job, as always!!! 🙂
Thanks Stewart, another fantastic video 👍👍
Great video Stewart, thank you for sharing. It makes me want to go out and try something similar.
😍😍😍👍
An other great project for the weekend. Due to you, I will be divorced by the end of the year.
Just what I needed! Been messing about with a Raynox macro filter on my lenses and looking for things to get creative with. This has given me a few ideas, cheers
Well done, Stewart. Good tips on backgrounds and glycerine. I wonder if corn syrup (alone) would work. Is the flower strong enough to support an orbeez?
Another Great Video,
Nice video!
But I have a question: do you do extreme macro? If yes could you maybe make a video about it?
What is it that you are putting the seed into? I am hard of hearing and can't understand exactly what you said.
Superbe vidéo bien l'idée de la glycérine merci
Fun! Please talk about making the background cards.
Another good video Stewart!
I have to try this ..Great video 📸👍
Awesome images. Those background cards are decent. Any link?
