A initially learned photography as a kid shooting black & white then developing the photos in a dark room, that was a magical time and sparked my interest in photography. As I got older I dabbled in digital photography but wasn't until my kids were born that i really started to get an active interest back in it all.

Might want to rethink that rec for the YN50IV Lots of bad reviews on Amazon-seems they get get stuck in full power. Or perhaps you can clarify how to fix that because it seems to happen right after the 1 yr warranty dies.
The only trouble I see with using a Manual flash over ETTL is when taking candids of moving subjects, either adults, kids or animals. You just can't take a picture to test the lighting and then expect to re-take the same shot. I find ETTL works best for these type shots when you just have to get the shot.
Very helpful thank you 😊
Love the simplicity of your video!
I love the t-shirt
Awesome I like the way you said just try it
flash is for taking id pictures plus driving licence 4×4
I would recommend spending a bit more, get a Godox. I little bit of a learning curve for a beginner, but it’s a good flash that you can grow with.
10 min into video you didn’t give Nikon speedlight model or other brand
I am a Sony User and i saw most of the flashes and triggers are for Canon or Nikon only would they work on a Sony camera as well?
Thanks. I learn something today .
The best most concise advice I've heard for beginners learning! Thanks!
This video is all about remote flash. Please retitle it. 🙂
I just got the speedlite. I have never used one before, and the manual appears to be written by folks whose first language is not English. I am a bit lost. It came with some kind of a base that the light can be put into, but the base does not appear to attach to anything. Is it merely for a separate stand? I have a Canon SL2, so I am assuming I can just attach to the shoe and go if I don't have the other off camera tools. I am the type of person who likes to read the manual before experimenting, but that is proving difficult.
You guys are so easy to understand ❤️❤️
Neekon, not Naikon..
this is literally just a sales pitch for accessories, didn't learn anything about flash photography.
Jim looks so tired here 😄Jim you're great and income school is amazing thank you ❤️
What are the brands of the products. Flash, receivers, etc.
I'm confused. I went to your web page and the least expensive lighting kit is all Canon compatible. All the links you give for Amazon go to Canon compatible flashes and triggers. Will they work for Nikon???
https://youtu.be/sC4q46LK70A?t=284 And it fails , probably need to press connect button or something but when flash was used alone it worked nicely , like expected
I Make External Flash For DSLR Under 5$. cek my video
great video you guys.
Does following links to Amazon from this page or your site provide support to you? I'm going to be purchasing some of the equipment you mention and would be glad to click through to help if it will.
Best non-harsh lighting I have seen with a photography scene yet.
Hey!! Thanks for this video. Questions: is this simple cheap set up good enough to use for event photography? Also what’s the range of the flash? Thanks!!
Nice I’m in the market for some speed flashes.
Poor video didn't explain the functions on the borehole flash n just went into using itnoff the camera not good at all
so what flash is it? you keep on saying "this flash".
this video could ve been done in less then 2 min.
Thank you guys. I really appreciate your comfortable attitude and ease of explanation. You made sense. wow.
4:47 it didn’t fire. And I’m pretty sure you have to change the mode of the flash. It’s not just slap it on your camera and it fires. You need to change the mode of the flash.
>"this is the flash we recommend"
>never say what the flash is
You’re not even explaining me the techniques and knowledge on using manual flash this is only a buying guide. How disappointing.
Link for 100 dollars flash and ir remote control
He JUST LOOK LIKE JUSTIN BIEBER…..
What about the cost to hire someone to hold the flash for those events shoot? and how do you know so called the helper seeing what you are seeing?
Just a thought.
Thank you! Seriously, thank you!
Awesome video…i know what to do now 🙂
I was wondering what the brand if for the radio triggers. I bought what you recommened on your website but i didnt get the same triggers?
Hi i have nikon d5100 and sb25 so trigger is the only way to set it wirelessly?
aww you could've stood up and showed your audience how to attach the umbrella to the bracket.
Ehh…I know, they'll figure it out when they have it in front of them, "It ain't rocket science."
Still, presentation matters and imagine the beginners' face if they saw you just set it all up to completion. Just my 2c.
what is the meaning behind having a shirt with F/5.6 is that the "perfect aperture" or something important in photography? thanks
Will this flash work on my Nikon D3100?
