Sexy Lingerie & Corsetry Fashion Photography with Karl Taylor.
We hot things up in the studio with this seductive photo shoot for Ava Corsetry. You get to see our team working together and everything involved in achieving a successful outcome on a professional fashion photography shoot like this.
I also offer tips on the set-up for this type of fashion photography imagery.
I spent a lot of time on the lighting for this shoot so there would be minimal retouching in post-production. I explain why I used 7 lights to create a specific ambiance.
I show you how we built the set within our studio environment enabling us to control the evocative lighting. I run through the lighting setup with the various modifiers and adapters.
I hope you enjoy!

Nice Type 3 Karmann Ghia on the wall…
Karl Taylor, You are a great master.
Finally a woman with flesh on her instead of a starving ironing board…
What about the shadow of the lamp on the back wall, doesn’t the shadow spoil the light on the back wall?
fuck the lighting, this is a gorgeous model
That is one big studio and lots of cool photo gear to play with,…heaven !
So many lights. There is only one SUN!
That's Emma glover.
This has to be THE most difficult technical and instructional video Karl does and now I am going to have to endure it many times a day! Thanks Karl! 😀
on amazon, that Hasselbad camera costs 43 thousands euro… 43k it's insane.
5:22 Oh! Those are real!
any idea where I can buy the shear skirt???
brilliant !!!
Taylor you´re PRO man!!!!! I love that please teach me))))
Great tips on the lighting. And that's Emma Glover, not Emma Cleary 🙂
Please what light did you use for the backlight
Great shoot and description of the lighting setup. I just browsed over at the Ava Corsetry site and saw your excellent photos from the shoot. Cheers!
It's about the curves of the model or the curves of the camera??? Cause i prefer women !
What a beautiful woman..
funny that all of that is a studio and not a real room lol
I am inspired by your work. Beautiful lighting, beautiful subject matter.
The change in hairstyle made a big difference. When she wore the hair up it covered her forehead and completely transformed her face. Great production overall.
Fantastic lighting setup with lesson … Thanks Karl … Cheers
Good lord, that equipment!! I marvel at the lovely models, but I gasp at just imagining the cost of all that equipment! That camera alone…. Its definitely not something pocket-able that you bring along on a family vacation, that's for sure! lol
8:39 thats a very big fill card, you mind sharing what you used to create that giant fill card?
This model is stunning!
Karl, you have all the fun!
Karl Taylor is a lighting genius !!
fantastico me encanta tu trabajo karl
Karl Taylor aka 'Mr. Jammy Bastard'. ☺ how did you pitch for this job, Karl?
love your work…
just wow for you… this video i like the most from all. the exiting video
What happens to the prop wall after?
Poziom pro!!!
Not sure if I was aroused by the model or all that expensive, top notch Broncolor gear. haha j/k. Great video, Karl. Thx for making it for us. Oh and I'm totally buying my wife some Ava lingerie now. Wow!
Great lighting setup Karl. Always a pleasure following quality work with quality equipment. Those scorro packs must be amazing.
Great Photo shoot Karl! I saw you using constant lights and a flash. Did you use more than one flash or just one? Also, my professors at school have told me there are multiple types of light temperatures–were the constant lights tungsten, etc? Loved this video!
Really interesting to see some of the possible finals and then see the chosen finals for each shoot, I loved that theme on the set as it seemed to suit both the dark and light apparel.
Nice video and explanation, thank you.
What classic lines she has.
f**kin' amazing shoot! Thank you for the video. Greetings from Germany
Carl, what was the lighting ratio on the model for most of the session? 2 to 1, 3 to 1? Good looking studio setup.
Hi Karl! Since the Fresnel light you have is expensive, is there another light you suggest that is less expensive, yet provides the similar effect? Also, any major difference between your Fresnel light and the ARRI 1000w tungsten spotlight, besides wattage?
Is that Emma ???
It's fascinating to see how the model moves very little/subtle to accomplish a variety of poses.
Hey
Great Video – as all of yours
One question: which size of iMac do you use? Is it Even a 27 Inch One?
