A initially learned photography as a kid shooting black & white then developing the photos in a dark room, that was a magical time and sparked my interest in photography. As I got older I dabbled in digital photography but wasn't until my kids were born that i really started to get an active interest back in it all.

MAGIC! Isn't that such a nice word to use about nature and nature photography? Being a policeman must have broken your heart sometimes, being the kind of person you obviously are by nature. I'm SO GLAD you followed your dream and that it has so obviously made you HAPPY.
I live in a HUGE garden – last time I looked I counted 41 bird species – but far from being a bird photographer's paradise it's DIFFICULT because it's crowded with every kind of tree imaginable and lots of bushes. The light, is, to say the least, tricky. But I 've got some nice photos. So I understand…
