Great photos and great tips
Thanks for this!!!
This is the first video in which i heard "raise your iso."
Seeing the settings with iso 3200 or even higher makes me think that this is the only honest photography video on youtube. You always hear "shoot on iso 100". Every photographer says this and that shot was taken at iso 100, but you clearly see that the shown area is super dark and its absolutely not possible.
Thank you!
Thank You!
You were lucky to do all this while there was daylight outside. if it was night time the whole game would have changed. Any pointers for night time flash bounce photography inside a wedding marquee?
Your videos honestly are the best, very quick, easy tips and very thorough. As a new wedding photographer I thank you so much
I got a homecoming on the end of this month. Thanks for the advise friend
Very high ISO might not have good printed photos quality?
Why not low ISO with reduced flash power ?
So what do we do in the instance of a dark concert hall with BLACK walls?!
You must get really grainy pictures.
We mustn't forget ISO is not the sole factor for grain. High ISO in well lit scenarios such as the case when using a flash shows significantly lower noise compared with a low light scenes. Experiment yourself with different light/ISO combos and you will learn your ISO/grain thresholds for the different scenarios
Ceiling height plays a big role in just how effective bouncing that one flash will be. I love lower ceilings lol
One of the best videos out there on bouncing flash photography!! Loved it and pics are outstanding
I got killed at a wedding with horrible lighting. I was very unprepared and unseasoned with the flash. I got over it and never tried again 😁.
Hi i love your pictures white balance it just looks soo natural and the white is white and the skin tones looks amazing, even sometimes using natural lighting without using strobes, is that because editing afterwards or what white balance technique do you use to during your shoots when taking pictures? thanks
Here in Pakistan bounce flash is normally use, off camera for hi end
So basically crank up the ISO……great tip
0:44 Are they 'Oh Patting' the bride?? I wish we could have had this at my wedding 🙂
What about other people's, who are taking picture with flash. Are not bounce off the ceiling.
Vanessa, another pro told me that if all you have is red or orange wood to bounce into, to gel your flash that color and that will work and sometimes if you do a FEC of +1 or 2 to increase the power, that will overpower the tungsten or orange color.
your iso number are so high…did you notice noise in your images
But that is soooo high ISo??
wt camera & wt lens using madam
nice photography
I’m doing my first wedding event. I’m new to photography. It’s a small wedding for a family member. I have a Canon 80D which flash would you guys recommend me getting?
best
Why is your shutter speed so high, causing you to raise your ISO so high?
👍👍
Beautiful photos!
The photos shown, are as they come out of the camera?
Are you using hss?
0:30 How much noise did you get?
I loved your video. To the point, lots of helpful hints and easy to understand.
Hi Vanessa, thanks for the video. I usually bounce off the ceilings at events but keep forgetting to use walls that are close. So your video will help me keep that in mind or bounce off someone's white shirt :-). I'd like to know when you're shooting outdoors are you using off camera flash or on camera flash. For example you're shooting indoors and remember there's a shot you didn't take outside the tent. Do you grab the light stand and head out or just rely on your on camera flash?
Thank you.
I just saw a YouTube video of a professional photographer giving up his full frame for apsc sensor. What an anti-climax this video is! 👍
How can ISO 3000 look that way ? There's barely any noise..
