A initially learned photography as a kid shooting black & white then developing the photos in a dark room, that was a magical time and sparked my interest in photography. As I got older I dabbled in digital photography but wasn't until my kids were born that i really started to get an active interest back in it all.

Everyone take a minute…just a vid…but says it all.
Super Cool! Thanks for sharing — luv the calming effect of the music as well. Are these photos available in digital format?

I miss home. This is beautiful.
Beautiful album, appreciate it and the music is so awesome. It's easy listening while watching the memory lane of home, thanks for sharing. Love and Light to you!
Thank you very much for putting this up. It is such a wonderful resource. If you don't mind I have to share it with my family.
I wish somebody can make it color makes it more beautiful.
That's so cool to hear from you because my Aunty told me the same, that Utulei used to be a part of Fagatogo – she said I shouldn't ask any younger Utulei kids about it though because they'd probably deny it, haha.
Very cool…please post a typed in link if you can. I am very pleased with the great response and memories that have been shared since posting this video. There was something quite magical in the photo album. So much so that it was acquired by an English Museum where by it will reside safe for many many years. It was my great pleasure to have presented it in video form here on You Tube.
My uncle's recently published book, about his time here, with my dad, and their parents. At 4.26, the guy in Navy whites on the left side of the photo…A. Dean Douglas, my grandfather……
Robert Douglas Long Ago in American Samoa and Other Memories, at Barnes and Noble website…..Won't let me put up the link…
First half of the pictures are taken from my Village of Fa'agatogo which is divided up into 2 villages…Fa'agatogo and Utulei…my family land. I will always cherish the view of the Rainmaker Mtn. from the Village of Utulei because it is the view I see from my house. Thank you for sharing these photos.
How beautiful my home once was. This is a few years before my Grandpa was born, I wonder if it changed much by the time he was old enough to recognize his surroundings. :') <3

Thank you. I enjoyed having it as well as sharing it.
Beautiful!
The Village green I think is Malaeoletalu. My grandmother was born 1884 and passed in 1986. Pago Harbour is where she and her sisters used to entertain whenever the ships docked into the harbor. This is also where alot of the afakasi children come from besides the german & asian mix. Nice old pictures. My dad wouldv'e been 15 yrs old living in Fagatogo in 1930. Thanks for sharing.
