A number of Clover High School students left class a little queasy Tuesday.
Wednesday, parents wanted answers as to how a mealworm got into cafeteria food.
“What in the world is that?” asked Jennifer Sain of Clover.
Sain got a text message from her 10th grade daughter Tuesday with an unpleasant surprise.
“It’s definitely either a maggot or a mealworm. When my daughter and the girl that was sitting next to her at lunch…it was actually on her plate,” said Sain. “When they took it up there and told the lady, the lady said no, that’s just a piece of rice that didn’t puff when it cooked.”

This kid found a meal worm in his off brand pop tart, a girl bit into a moldy and soft af pear, and not that long ago my whole grade was fed half cooked burgers! I had to tear away all the red parts just to get to 1/4 of the size that was actually edible.

It probably is a meal worm but tell the parents what's in the school food before serving it and if your more focused on the worm than the fact that that rice looks like lumpy applesauce them we have a problem
