The problem i had with shutterstock is there search engine and key words. If you search american flag you get american and flag replies. You really have to search for new content. Your new photo might go at the bottom of 247,000 photos of flag and america. I question whether one of my photos was cropped and being used under another photographers name. Shutterstock doesnt seem to promote there photos. Pinrest photos are allover the net now. And who wants to bring in another photographer. That dilutes your photos from being seen. Just my opinions, cause I ain't made a dime yet.

Alamy are genuine. I've sold a few over the years. I only have about 180 uploaded, but some of them have sold multiple times. You won't get rich, but you will get the occasional $100 cheque. I sent the same images to Shutterstock at the same time I sent them to Alamy and they were all rejected for composition, too much noise, subject matter not relevant (how do they know?) Now I've retired I will be uploading some more and trying some different things. To be honest though, most of my photography income over the last 20 years has come from shooting weddings and events which I think are still bread and butter for most of us.

Thankyou for But can You explain it How to join It I am an Indian
I'm Pakistani can I sell my pics in these Website's…?
THIS IS ALL BULL.. If you are interested in photography don't do this.. what they forget to tell you is:
1. you will need a 100% high quality picture to be accepted
2. release forms of properties, models.. photographs will not be accepted if they include a brand name, companies name, plate stickers, etc even if its far away in the background
3.you need gear.. which is expensive
4.you will need a thousand photographs, and still wont make enough
5.they will offer you tutorials which are not free, also photographers in youtube oooh your photos will look great after this buy my app, my tutorial. thank you, subscribe need all the support because in reality im not making enough to pay my gear.. but of course they wont say that last part 🙂
6. this is the internet your photographs can be stolen
7.you need knowledge… a camera, and photoshop etc are not easy to learn
8.taxes, specially if you are not in the us.. you need to apply form after form …………….
9.with all this websites people upload over 1 million photographs per day. there are too many out there
10.you will have all that gear and wont know what to do with it, will end up doing porn which you will pay for, wont go well……. then.. blackmailing people with their photographs cheating their wifes thats a start… if you need money from it :p coz nobody really cares about your photographs
i got more but anyway…. this is for the beginners to reconsider
you are not going to make any money out of this, just waste your time.. if you are into photography just build a good portofolio, and start from there but it will still be difficult
Got ripped off by Fotolia. I eventually left them and asked that they delete my portfolio. A few months later, I did a search online for my images. All the best ones were on a wall art site in London. Theye were selling my images for £160 a pop. Fotolia had passed on my portfolio to other agencies without my knowledge or permission. Tried to get them to take them off their site. Got ignored. Threatened them with court action, still ignored. Beware of Fotolia. Just Google Fotolia for reviews.
Respected Sir,
Thanks for great information.
Is Fotolia FREE for "shooters"?
Your voice would be perfect for silent movies.

The woman in the thumbnail has the biggest lens hood I have ever seen on a small lens. I swear it's bigger than the camera. Lol

Had to laugh when you mentioned Fine Art America. A pathetic site indeed 3 images sold in 5 years.
Not enough people actually sell photos on these sites to make the effort worth it.

Did I not see Getty ?
I know a ton of really great photographers. The ugly reality is that the market is oversaturated. And remember it says you can be paid up to. Not that you will be paid the maximum for every picture. If you have the time it's probably worth a shot but I wouldn't bank on it for any real income.
Thanks for detailed information . ❤️😘
But in review wat I had seen, there is very lower rating for Shutterstock and customer is completely dissatishfy….
