I enjoyed this video and learned from it. Thanks.
15:20 Haha, exactly 🙂 My single biggest problem with photographing people is that they have seen some star photographer's shot by the waterfall and they want _that picture_, when it might not be the best in the given setting. A lot of them are control freaks, too, trying to boss me around and tell me what to shoot from which angle. It's pretty frustrating, to be honest, and sometimes it's hard to make the effort to stay polite and deny them kindly when taking the pics is taking up all my focus… This is hard work and a hands-on recap of a session like this one is a great resource! Thanks for the vid, I really enjoyed it, and took away some great tips!
for group shots what focal length and f-stop do you like to use to make sure everyone is sharp?
Awesome video thanks for posting!!
lame lame and then more of the lame sorry, not at all helpful
I love this Michele
Awesome. Awesome, awesome, awesome. Thanks for sharing!!!!
remember, some people are humble and not satanic like the babylonians . . no one has to prove themselves better than others . . in art and life we are all a wonderful pieces of expression! . . love!!!! . . thats what the portraits are about, right??
dont worry! great body of work! im a big fan of a splash of color! amazing work, flowers, clothes . . feet, etc . . unlike chelsea and tony and others dealing in monochromatic-ness (and you white piece of work) . . you know your voice gets high! and you sound like a sixteen yr old . . i love my cousin to pieces!!!! . . she sounds exactly like you! . . shes forty yrs old and a business manager . . jus something im sure you are aware of. why do i see photos overexposed? . . any one can fix this in software . . you do know you positioning, backgrounds, focusing, etc!!!! so well!!!! 🙂

I noticed some keyboard warriors who love to criticize… Michele is one of the best portrait photographers out there. It will serve you very well to listen to what she says and maybe buy her book(s) if you need something to read. Instead of judging, pay attention.
Cutting off shoulders , fingers, toes, wrist, Im begginer my self but i think framing of most of this portraits isn't the best
very useful!! thanks!
Hi, Thank you for your video! Can you share your camera settings for the group pictures? Thanks 😉
Cutting the shoulders off and stuff.
Like it looks like they are trying to get in the picture like why you shooting over there let me try to get in the shot.
The light looks good and everything but the compositions were very odd.
Very helpful video. Thanks for sharing!
The photos are not bad, not great either. They are just normal photos done by a photographer who earns her living out of it, has professional equipment and some knowledge of the things. But i don't definitely consider them worthy of a seminar, webinar, how you want to call it, on a professional photography youtube channel. Photos of a family and kids in somebody's house ,nothing to write home about, nothing to be blown away with. She was talking about location, light falloff, etc. Why didn't she use some strobe powerful lights and take an assistant to help her, move the people around a bit, make use of that background of the desert, etc, etc. She just went with a camera and a 70-200 lens on it, prepared the shots to some degree, used natural light, and got good (rarely very good, sometimes mediocre) results. Not a teaching material here
sounds like she needs to learn to control light!
Great advice!! Thanks for this video 🙂
Absolutely beautiful work!
It is refreshing and inspirational to view such artistic and aesthetically pleasing photography that was produced predominantly “in camera” with extremely high quality optics, and without the all too common reliance on Photoshop and Lightroom to compensate for lack of actual talent.
I wish I could afford your training, I have no doubt it would be worth every penny.
Wow! Just watched the whole thing. 👌😃 goos stuff.
Wonderful video… Best part of all I'm sitting here watching video with my favorite 4 legged friend… My black Labrador Retriever "Malie". And when you started Yipping and barking she started staring at the screen… 😀
I came here searching for Frank Dispensa, but Michele was a great find. Nice video about Posing Groups!
Good video; if you can do better, show off and put a link so we can learn from you; good ideas are always welcome!
Thank you Michele for the time and knowledge you shared.
Great presentation! I do commercial/product and fine art photography so when I'm asked to photograph people I usually say no. People are a challenge, and posing them? Well that's where I stumble, so thank you for the video.
Ok I like her information very helpful. The subjects look out of focus….
That first photo with the couple dressed all white…. among other problems…… it's just so cheeezy. It's like 1994 all over again…I hope that's not your best work
beautiful pics and great tips. What lens do you use to blur the background so well?
excellent posing tips and techniques. thank you!
These pictures are nice
Good tutorial !
It seems there are a lot of soft focus shots. All are beautiful. What aperture would one use to have that big group all in focus?
Lol! Thank you so much!!! This will help me a lot!!! I also found helpfull for good photography cameras is Elumpa Fantastic Photo Alchemist – it will be on google if you need it
I love your work it is the best!!!
One of the best videos I've ever seen. Thank you for your time.
Thank you! I have Michele's book on posing families, and it's really helpful. She takes beautiful photos.
I liked the composing but it looked like the individual portraits were out of focus
Wonderful! I loved this video and your tutorial style is so easy going! Thank you!
I very much like your insight, tips, and tricks. Thank you so much!
What type of soft filter do you add to your photos, exactly? Thanks! Loved the video, it was very helpful.
Can you tell me what size reflector you use?
