Had the chance to explore Ottawa and capture some photography techniques that you definitely have to try during the night. The city was the perfect setting for this video – plenty of uniques activities and architectural buildings to capture. Highly recommend a visit to Canada’s Capital, for more info check the link below ☺
Share your IG accounts here, I want to see what you guys come up with ☺
love it.
This is great Alen! Thanks for sharing!

Too bad everyone edits there photos before upload noone is original anymore.
Great techniques as always! However I wanna ask, in the light painting technique, isn't there a risk of the person moving the light source coming into the frame as a blurry object/shape?
How does the person holding the light not get into the shot but the light does?
One and a half minutes in… "Let's get right into it"
What kind of light is that ?
Pls next time update before coming to ottawa. Heartily would love to meet you
Very simple yet informative for someone like me starting out. Thank you
That chill song in the background is so dope that I can't get it of my mind…
Hey Alen, how do you keep the subject/model in focus while doing the light paint? I'm having trouble with that.. 🙁
But aren't you doing a long exposure?
What light did you use for the long-exposure shot?

Do you still have auto iso on or off? 🙂
It will be great if you could provide subtitles for better understanding… nice video btw
Where can I buy the Led Light?
Damn those are cool
alen thanks for this
I knew most of these techniques because I love night photography, but I really enjoyed this video, the music, the voice and the examples of editing. Keep it up !
Great production!
Such a pity that the title specifically says "Night Photography Techniques" but only seems to focus on long exposures, and always having a light with oneself… Nothing actually creative with available light sources and ONLY available light sources, or anything that isn't outside of a very narrow definition of things. Would have been a lot more useful to see pictures other than studio-style or ye-olde done over and over again diffraction on many light sources and light trails.
There are plenty more things one can do at night for photography that do NOT require lights pointed at your subject or a tripod….
Hella useful!!!
@ekarizal98
Wanna chrckout my work?? 😁😁
Thanks for the courtesy of giving me a description in your video to know what I’m about to watch. Oh wait you didn’t, you went straight for the snake oil didn’t you. Man The Don’t Squad…in a nutshell.
Great video but where did you get led lamp with the many points?🔥😅
Dope video man mind checking out my channel? Maybe we could collaborate on something in the future!
You're an inspiration, Alen! Thank you for this short but amazing tutorial!

Bru, you killing me. Great shots
Man as someone from Ottawa, this got me so inspired to go out and shoot the city at night! I've never really dabbled in photography after sunset so I think it would be a fun challenge to learn and practice. Love seeing my city like this! Unreal Alen 🙂
I love the fact that you give the image details along with the pictures. Really helps people like us who are just starting out in photography. Great stuff as always. Big fan!!🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
How does he keep the skin tones so right in his edits? I've tried it like a hundred times but couldn't replicate it.
