Love this! Thank you for doing this video. Great tips. Could you give specific tips on getting work in the ecommerce work and retouching. Like how exactly to get work? Would love to supplement my income with this area

I think I needed this wake up call – not in a bad way but to make me realise that it’s not easy! I think I’ve always subconsciously romanticised it and now after watching this I’m thinking I should probably go and shoot that event even though it’s for free because I need the contacts and content^^ You’re definitely right about keeping up with all the social media platforms T.T – I can’t even handle Instagram let alone all of them πŸ˜…

I've started working as a freelance photographer right after graduating the University and for me it was a very smooth transition from hobby ( I've been photographing my friends and occasional clients while I was studying ) to full time job. Luckily I quickly have built a base of clients, but I must say that you've described everything about freelance so clearly and helpful, it's amazing! Especially about the work flow. Most people think that being freelancer is easy and you don't have to work that much… The truth is you'll be constantly working non stop lol But I believe it's worth it.
And the tip about communication is the best! The more people you work with the better, it really helps building your client base.
Good luck and thanks! Can't wait to see the next video πŸ™‚

I totally agree. What I did was use my canon powershot to practice my photography for a year or so after I decided I wanted to get better. Meanwhile, I had a solid full time job which allowed me to save up for the equipment I wanted. I will pursue this freelance career part time until I’m able to be support myself completely. It’ll take time but the journey is the best part.
