Impressive 👏
I guess I need to work on shooting more often too
How the hell did you do this without shadows and a reflector?
HI, very nice video. When models are moving, do you use AF-C?…thanks.
Can you please answer me.. How to make skin tone smooth for indian skin tone as it tends to get underexposed wrt to highly exposed background in direct sunlight?
I was horrified to do a 11am shoot this morning until I watched this. Thank you!
Nice of you to share your settings. Good tips. It never occurred to me to have the model turn her face more evenly towards the sun. Sometimes I get so wrapped up with technicalities that I forget the obvious. I tend to use an off-camera Speedlight to fill in harsh direct sunlight shadows.
When shooting outdoor portraits in 4 PM bright sunlight where your subject is one of your RELATIVES and you don't want to insult them because they insisted on wearing OILY BASE MAKEUP that day that is reflecting the sun like a mirror and blowing-out your facial highlights – what do you do ? Talc powder ? How do you tell a 50+ woman that if she want photos today that she will need to do her make-up differently today – what would we tell her to do differently ? Thanks !
Learning a ton from your videos…thnx!!
WHATS THE DIFFERENCE WITH THE CANON 50 MM RF 1.2 COSTING OVER $2000 ?
this helped me a lot coz i'm having a shoot on the beach today xoxo thanks
Beautiful images..
Do you consider using CPL filter for this kind of shooting?
Amazing video!
Need a camera that shoots iso 50 for the harsher lighting if you want to do d.o.f./bokeh
Very informative. Thank you 📸
Love your videos!!! 🤗
Julia, your photography is PERFECTION. 👏👏👏
why not using an HHS Strobe? that could have saved your productivity while avoiding the harsh light situation, or maybe a soft reflector would helped !
Hi Julia, thank you for another fantastic video! Can you please tell me if you were exposing for the skin or the sky? Also, how much do you underexpose by? Thank you 🙂
You are my inspiration.. I used to learn from your videos ❤️
Hi Julia! First of, I wanted to say that you are a very likeable and natural person. I like that 🙂 Now, my question is: What would you have done if clouds had screened the sun every now and then? Wait for them to pass or would you have adjusted your exposure accordingly and continued?
Great video Julia, thanks for the helpful info.
like your videos!
would you suggest using an ND filter when shooting in harsh sunlight?
why no hood?
Very interesting. On the 5D III there seamed to be no problems to bring um the shadows.
Fantastic work! The images look great, and well you can't beat the location. This was a great inspiration for my shoot today – full sun – high fashion looks (so a little different). I like how you kept everything crips even at 2.8 – I struggle with this when I shoot wide open, I tend to get too many soft-focus shots, or a "just missed" – but the composition and look are there it usually works out. But today I'm really looking for that crisp focus in the eyes. Anyway. Thanks for the inspiration!
all I'm wondering is how did you shoot all day and not end up really sweaty??? =)))
Aussies are so hot
U so hardworking girl and i like ur vision📷👍🏼
With that sunlight you can shoot at iso 50 on that camera so why 100?. Like the shots though.
Thank you, Julia. I am learning a lot on this channel. Cheers from Shanghai
it says 1/8000
Hi Julia! I am in California and I absolutely LOVE your videos!! I always LEARN from them. Thank you for doing this! So, my question to you is, you mention that you make some adjustments on Lightroom. I so the before and after here, but I do not have Lightroom. I always work with photoshop. Could you tell me, if you know how, to get that super clear picture after you edit! Thanks!
In these case you paid the model?
