Why to shoot big broad scene instead a contrast scene into the forest?I can't understand.

  5. Lars Sveen says

Lots of great info that I've slowly picked up from various sources over the years, all packed into one video. Great job, guys.

37:23 And what happens if I see that other pro photographers take photos from 'that' spot? :DDD

  7. Cynthia Chen says

I have searching and watching many videos of landscape photography speech. This is the best explanation of the landscape photography. It's so worth of time. Thank you.

Great lecture. Must people with bad coughs turn up and bark all through the presentation, generously spreading the infection and spoiling the presenters' delivery.

Tim: Regarding setting WB. Does it really matter what your WB is set to if you shoot in Raw. I typically shoot in AWB because when I go into Post I set the WB at that time. Am I missing out on something?

  13. Peter W says

Wow! Tim Cooper inspires and gives the tools to go out and create. Absolutely the best instructional and informational lecture on landscape photography.

  14. Renaud Perrier says

Great video, thanks! I've one question: Tim explains that we should shot at 90° of the sun with a polarizing filter, does it mean that if we take a shot of a sunrise or sunset, in front of the sun, the polarizing filter is useless?

  15. Holly Van Hart says

    😍 Excellent! 👍 👍 🌟

  16. Tom D says

It's ISO (one word), not I.S.O.

  17. Francisco Rodriguez-Letters says

Good video, but…Depth of field calculator lol. Does anyone actually use these?

  18. Olga Celle says

This is an outstanding video. Thanks Tim, thanks B&H for bringing it to us. I learned a lot!

  19. Nag Rotte says

In my humble opinion, if the picture is shot in RAW – there is absolutely no need for worrying about white balance. I do not agree with the presenter says in that , one needs to remember how many points of magenta or anything else while shooting; it’s just not needed. Photoshop and/or Lightroom will do that for you…

  20. Nag Rotte says

“Alright” man the way it is pronounced!!

  21. leslie landerkin says

I really enjoyed this video especially when you showed your images taken several ways such as with different lenses or from different positions. Leslie

  22. Ty Mickan says

Great talk, one of the best I've seen.

  23. Didereaux says

A good vid, but it could have used 4378 fewer "arrights"

  24. Leonard Conlan says

    His Kelvin scale is wrong

This is the best of all tutorials I have seen on this site. I am a passionate and fairly experienced landscape photographer although I had more experience with film cameras than digital till now, so I have learned masses of good information and a lot of good tips. Cooper's photos are marvelous and he's the clearest, most thorough and easy to understand instructor I've seen on B+H. Many thanks to Cooper for this wonderful class. Top stuff.

  28. Great presentation!

  29. Daniel Quirin says

    Great tutorial!

  30. Joan Ouellette says

Best video on Landscape photography I have even seen. Thank you, Tim, for a very informative talk. I have watched at least three times just so that everything is remembered.

  31. Kevin Geaney says

I have been trying to understand this complex subject and I have listened to many different explanations, but the more I listened, the more it seemed to be like a black art! Then, thankfully, I happened on your talk and WOW! Suddenly it's perfectly clear. Your delivery, examples, and the structure of your talk were really well thought out. Now I can go out with a clear plan and will be able to learn from my experiences. Thanks a million.

  32. rajnikant sharma says

Ann , I love you and your photography . Thanks . I have seen your photography on You Tube . Long live Ann .

  33. Paul M says

That polarizer really made a difference. I don't understand why mine never seems to have that much of a dramatic effect the way that example does. Maybe my polarizer is crap

  34. Home Cinema says

I think this guy is little drunk or missing point, when you shot raw your white balance setting not getting baked in, it does not matter its unprocessed image you will never get exact white balance by setting your balance to sunny day or others grey card is key word.

  35. Th Hupy says

Great information for the technical aspects every landscape photographer ought to know!

  36. Matt Hobley says

Would be nice to see this stuff actually being shot and explained at the location. Class room setting is like watching paint dry.

  37. Thomas Riemersma says

  38. slipbyu2 says

  39. Bagster 78 says

Something I've found to be a very useful tool for adjusting DoF is a rangefinder like people use in archery.

  40. Fozzy Miller says

I'm relatively new to photography, especially DSLR photography so when Tim (My favourite photographer) 'liked' 2 of my shots on Instagram, it was the biggest form of encouragement I have had!

  41. Bart Gorniak says

sorry but whoever uses polarizing filters is simply faking a scene.
