THE BEST WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY LENS (The perfect lens for an introvert)
I think the 85mm focal length specifically is the best focal length for how I shoot as an introverted person who wants to create amazing full length galleries. The Tamron 85mm f1.8 is my choice of 85mm lens right now.

The best wedding lens is the 600mm f4L if your an introvert and a 14mm f2.8L if you an extravert
If your normal it’s the 35mm or the 24-70
Did you do something to get your N64 to scale resolution? Mine looks like garbage on a modern tv.
Hi Taylor, thank you for all of your videos they have been awesome to watch. I have a canon 5d mark iii, and I really want an 85 lens. I am debating on the canon 85 1.4 that has IS like you mentioned vs the tamron 85 1.8 that you have – do you think the 1.4 vs 1.8 will make a big difference at receptions or low light situations. Also, did you mention you never use filters on your lenses, for wedding photos? I haven't yet.
i wish i can have the $10 monthly for patreon. Sad about it.. :/
Just picked up the 85 1.4 IS v2 for canon and wow! The quality is up there. 85 is def becoming a favor length for me .
It's amazing that I just bought the Canon 85mm f1.4 IS L lens yesterday, and I love it.
Taylor jackson i know you like 24mm but what is your opinion on 20mm? Downsides? Im just getting in to pro photography.
Curious why you'd even need VC on an 85mm if you're shooting people. Wouldn't you already be shooting 160/200th to freeze your subject
Hi Taylor, I am planning to buy 85mm (either 1.4 or 1.8). I am getting confused between Sigma and tamron. Which one has better optical quality? Also suggest is 85 mm a good choice considering the fact that I shoot indian weddings which are crowded than usual.
Have you ever thinked to… fuji?
The fact that people in 2018 still discover the existence of 85mm lens and how it works is amazing 🙂
SNES Mario Kart is my favorite Mario Kart ever. The others seemed to favor making the races close no matter what (though the train in 64 was cool) .
I have a Nikon 85mm 1.4G but I don't shoot weddings or much video so no point in disputing.
I love my 85mm, it's my go-to for pretty much everything. even some landscaping. shoot in portrait mode and stitch in post-production.
my honey lens is 135mm f2
Price on it not bad either.
If I'm a Canon user, and use a 85 mm lens, wouldn't that give a narrower view angle than your Nikon 85mm? What's the Canon equivalent to Nikon's85mm?
N64!!
My favourite console.
I've been using a 35/50 (sigma ART) combo for a while but literally planning to put the 50mm up for sale this week and get an 85 VC. I just find the 50mm is tight, but not tight enough – or wide, but not wide enough. Frustrating either way. So this video is incredibly timely. Thanks Taylor!
Hey Taylor, nope, you are not wrong. It is soooooooooo great!!!!
Best!
Hey, where's the ukulele?
you discussed why you dont clean the front glass, do you protect that front glass with something like a uv filter for this or other lenses?
What about the Sigma 85mm F1.4 Art ?
Do you have review tamron 17-50mm f2.8 ??
Is it the lens that you you use the most? (Wedding)
For what purposes can I put 24mm lens to?
Yeah, 85mm focal length is always be my favorite go-thru-lens beside 35mm. Mine is the Nikkor AFD version of 85mm with F1.4
Got two D750 with 35mm and 85mm.
Anyway, is this Tamron 85mm 1.8 VC having an ability to focusing in lowlight conditions as good as other nikkor lenses, Taylor?
I've had the 35 for about a year and ordered the 85 today. Tamron primes are arguably the best lenses you can get right now. They easily beat Canon and Nikon's 1.8 offerings (Canons is 26 years old!) by being weather sealed and stabilized. It's really hard to want to dump a few hundred to $1300~ more on the other first party offerings when the tamrons only really lose out on not being 1.4's. If you pixel peep then the 1.4g/1.4 IS/1.4 Art are for you but It's really hard to not look at all of them side by side and not give a slight edge to tamron for just being the complete package.
My Nikon 85 1.8 has served me ridiculously well
