In this video I’m unboxing, assembling, testing and reviewing a round backdrop stand which can be used during newborn photoshoots. The circular backdrop stand is from Aliexpress. I think it’s way better than a pvc DIY version, but I’m not 100% happy. Watch the video to find out why!

IMPORTANT
If you are interested in photographing newborn babies yourself I would highly recommend you to first learn about photography in general. Master you camera, photograph in the Manual mode, learn about aperture, iso, shutter speed, white balance, light and composition. Take photos of your friends (adults or very patient older kids) and make sure you don’t have to think about your camera anymore when photographing babies. Learn about editing as well. Please, don’t experiment photographing Newborn babies without training. Attend a workshop by an experienced and professional photographer with an expertise in Newborn Photography. Learn about the anatomy of babies and invest in good quality cameras, lenses and props. Babies are extremely vulnerable and small and their safety and comfort should be your highest priority. Start with simple poses and make sure you know and understand that many ‘pinterest poses’ are composites. Please, don’t try this at home. If you want beautiful photos of your own Newborn Baby, I highly recommend you to hire a professional and experienced photographer who is trained and specialised in Newborn Photography.

BE AWARE. When Paloma Schell sends you a badly damaged and defective item, you will have to pay to ship it back to Brazil. They will not send you a shipping label, they do not take responsibility and will refer you to their return policy which only protects them, also when they are sending defective products. I do not recommend buying anything from them. I bought the MINI STAND and Grife with two covers. The bean bag is badly damaged. The center bag is the wrong size, too big. Once filling up the bean bag the zipper keeps opening and the content of the bean bag spills. There is also a loose thread and yellow marker stains. The stand is poorly made and is rocking from one side to another, making it unsafe and unusable. The bean bag and stand are clearly defective. The mini-stand is not safe since it rocks to the slightest touch. The holes that assemble the pools to one another are too big which causes the rocking. I paid $30 to fill up the bag and then realized it is damaged. I purchased the Grife, baby posing chair with two covers. One cover is too small too and only reach halfway. The posing chair itself is also poorly made. It has a sharp bump in the middle and other sots where the injection was not complete. It does not resemble what Paloma Schell site is showing in the video. It is not made of the same material advertise and is hard as a rock. Paloma Schell will not refund my money for filling up the bean bag. I previously purchased the BIG STAND that also arrived with damaged bean bags that were also too big. I paid a $100 to fill the bean bags but again, Paloma Schell refused to pay me bag although it is their fault sending a damaged wrong size product. I also purchased the set of POSITIONERS NEWBORN KIT PALOMA SCHELL, they are using a cheap fastener so the content of the bags keeps spilling put which makes it unsafe. Still, I went ahead and purchased two more items from them and now they are asking me to pay to ship them back and will not pay me back from what it cost me to fill up the damaged bag. Why should I have to pay to ship back damaged products? Why does PALOMA SCHELL have no quality control? Overall I spent nearly $1500 with this company. They do not value their customers. I would like to add that after purchasing the GRIFE true FB messaging with the company I realize their website states in big bold red letters that this product is not for sale in the USA, as soon as I asked them about it, they removed this statement from their site
Hi Fenna,big fan of ur videos n content. However, I see there may be challenges to even out the skin, which is totally normal in case of babies, the skin is sometimes too soft n not even colored. How u deal to even out the skin? Do u use Frequency Separation?
