PHOTOGRAPHY BASICS | Intro to Newborn Photography
Lisa guides you through the essentials of getting started in Newborn Photography, from the equipment and lighting, through Props, Posing and Beyond.
In this film Lisa walks you step-by-step through all of the factors that you need to consider when starting out in Newborn Photography, as well as a few hints and tips she’s learnt from experience so you don’t have to. Firstly she covers the important considerations such as safety, environment and insurance; all key factors to most importantly protect the baby and also yourself. Lisa then moves on to the equipment she uses, covering the camera, lights and modifiers she uses when conducting her own sessions, both in the studio and on location in a clients home. Finally she shows some examples of the props and backgrounds she uses to style her shoots and bring variety to each session, all of which ultimately helps you to maximise the final sale.
Equipment: Sony A7II, Sony 24-70mm, Sony A7s, Elinchrom Quadra ELB 400, Manfrotto Adjustable Background Support, Variety of Cloths, Props and Vinyl Backgrounds, Lastolite Ezybox II, Sony Speedlite

Great video. Thanks for sharing and being honest. It is the best part – giving the kids back. 😀
when you said you give the clients 10 to 15 images to look at did you mean later on…. or do you mean at the shoot?
Printing 12MP picture as a 28 inch print is hilarious! It's going to be 150dpi, which is below any reasonable quality standards
good stuff
Thank you from the US. I needed this. Light on the photography and heavy on the logistics and particulars of the specialty.
