If you’re wedding photographer, networking both in Facebook and with physical meetups can help you tap into a new source of referral clients and you can even convert those local business owners to being clients as well.
As far as Social Media, Snapchat, Instragram and Pinterest do not have the most leverage and upside for you. You need to be marketing your photography business where the best-paying clients are going to be.
In truth marketing your wedding photography through Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn and Periscope could have more impact and leverage with higher level wedding photography clients for a lot of reasons.
The demographics for one thing, people of the marrying age who have a decent budget for hiring a wedding photographer are more likley to be in these platforms. These platforms also have more opportunities for you to link back to your website where clients can call you or send you an email.
With YouTube you can show your actual work and the experience of working with you as a photographer, as well as video testimonials. You can also do a video commonly asked questions from your clients.
With Facebook you can do searches and see who in the local area that you are a connected with might be engaged.
Periscoping a behind the scenes of photo shoot or answering questions can be very helpful in building trust and credibility.
Doing quality work matters, but convincing someone you are the right person to work with them is also important.

At first I didn't think I should watch this because I don't do wedding photography but it gave me a technique to apply to my Graphic Design! (after thinking it through for a while)
Working with a local store to advertise my GD service so it benefits us both
eg. Printeries that only offer printing service
Now they will be able to keep those clients that were planning to do big prints but had no design
