ARTIST SERIES :: THE ART OF PHOTOGRAPHY
One of the things I’ve been working on over the last year is the new Artists Series. The first in this series was completed and release last month. It is a documentary on Los Angeles-based photographer, John Free.
I’m moving forward with this series, but I need your help. The next video is crucial to the development of the series – the types of photographers I’ll be able to feature, the locations I’ll be able to do them in and the overall quality of what I will be able to present.

My name is Ted Forbes and I make videos about photography. I’ve been making photographs most of my life and I have a tremendously deep passion for photography that I want to share with you on YouTube.
The Art of Photography is my channel and I produce photography videos to provide a 360 degree look into the world of making images. We all want to get better so lets do this together!
I make videos covering famous photographers, photography techniques, composition, the history of photography and much more.
I also have a strong community of photographers who watch the show and we frequently do social media challenges for photographers to submit their own work. I feature the best and most interesting on the show when we do these so come check it out and get involved!

Always looks forward to whatever you Produce Ted . . Contributed and keep em coming, always learn so much from you!!. . . plus you're entertaining
Let's do videos about Jeff Bridges, William Eggleston, and the late Dennis Hopper.
Please try and do one on Daido Moriyama. Would be amazing. Thanks for all the work you put into this!
I love your channel and all the great videos you post, very inspiring making me want to shoot more pictures! congratulations Ted!!
congratulations, ted! i woke up this morning to see the original goal had been met . . . in less than 3 days!
i hope the remainder of the month brings in enough that you can work on several more projects with no worry as to how you'll manage to pay for it all.
I know you have done a video on Fan Ho already. But how about one to one session with him? He apparently resides in the Bay Area (US).
In Norway you could apply for support from the gouverment to make theese documenteries as a provider for bringing art to the public. Have you checked for similar applications in the US? And for what i would consider as one very important artist to have on the show must be William Egglestone. Good luck with your project, love your videos !
I like the more scripted style in this video. I mean, I still like your more relaxed vlogging style, but sometimes you tend to repeat the same concepts over and over. 🙂
Please do my man Andre' D. Wagner out of Bushwick, Brooklyn.
Thankyou for all of these years! They have been great. Now, however I think you are embarking on a quest that you feel for. Unfortuneatly I do not share that enthuiasm, so I will no longer be subscribing to your channel. Too bad since there still are a ton of videos that need to be Done out there.
Good luck with your newly found quest though. Me signing off.
Ted, a sincear thanks to you. You and your videos are a great source of inspiration for me and a lot of other photographers. i wish that i could help you out with the travels etc, but im currently in college.. I wish you the best of luck! take care!
Would love to see someone like Paolo Roversi work. It's so hard to find any REAL info on the guy
That sounds exciting Ted! I would love to "help" you, but the link is blocked by my anti-virusprogram. it says that this site 'is promoted by means of spam techniques". I know if one person on earth would NOT do that… may be you could have a look at it?
do one with boogie! his new book is about to release
Ted. Are moving image artists included in your great work eg. John Cassavetes?
You're show is possibly the single greatest contributor to expanding my photographic horizons and ability. I'm happy to contribute. I'm sorry it couldn't be more.
Thanks so much for making these films. I can't can't tell you how much your work has educated and inspired me. I'm really looking forward to seeing the next one.
ok bro im in;)
Ted what would you think of a series of outdoor,
America there is how to do in the rest of the world,
thinking about photography.
So far we only see the American way of photography.
what is the camera in the thumbnail?
Can you get online people involved ? For example Ben Brown or Jacksgap ?
HI Ted, quick question.. I notice the goal is 5K, if you do not reach this target is the whole thing off or will you still work on part / parts of the project?
Will you be doing similar campaigns for each video in this series you produce? I think it's a great idea. I was wondering, however if you would be able to let us know beforehand which artist you're going to feature, that way I'd have a bit better idea which tier I'd like to contribute to.
The Brothers Wright please Ted!
