In a season of big, fat Indian weddings, the Wednesday nuptials of Isha Ambani, daughter of industrialist Mukesh and Nita Ambani, is the biggest of them all. Isha married Anand Piramal, son of industrialist Ajay Piramal, at their family residence Antilla.
The wedding was held in Mumbai on Wednesday but festivities began weeks ago, starting in September with an engagement party at a lakeside Italian palace. Over the weekend, thousands attended pre-wedding parties in Udaipur, where Beyonce performed and former US secretary of state Hillary Clinton was seen dancing with Shah Rukh Khan.

Such extravagant marriage by these people is a great joke for this so called socialist country. Farmers are committing suicide, most of the employees are being exploited as contractual labourers with minimum basic salary and no certainty of employment, quality education and medical treatment to majority of countrymen have been made beyond reach by these people, etc. So much publicity to such filthy show of money will affect the masses also to beg, borrow and steal for unwarranted expenditure on marriage. If this trend continues, time will not be far off when resentment of deprived masses may go to extreme.
mukesh ambani takes only 2.5 million dollars. in annual salary from Reliance. so when media talks him spending over 150 million dollars in the wedding which over 100 years of his salary, how did he get that money? is the Indian revenue service investigating or being a modi crony he is off the hook?
