[FRAMED] Travis & Jean Smith: Commercial Meets Wedding Photography
Usually a husband and wife photography duo team up for the ultimate powerhouse business to adapt and create the same look and feel for their art. Well, that’s definitely not the case here. Travis and Jean Smith are a married couple. Each of them photographers but the two of them are running completely separate businesses. Travis handles the commercial, fashion, senior portrait side of the spectrum while Jean runs the family, babies and weddings with some editorial projects on the side. And between the two of them, they cover mostly everything.
Today, Travis & Jean take us to the middle of the desert to show their fun and unique strengths combine into one editorial-styled fashion wedding shoot.

I thank God I found your youtube channel. this is awesome.
Any photographer worth his salt can and would shoot these pictures using these people. This is NOT your typical wedding, they all look like models. Show us your fat average couple with fat homely brides maids and groomsman. Get real!
This is an amazing network,i wonder when you guys would be in Mombasa,Kenya exactly because there is so much talent here..should come check it out
Meh.
Cool thanks guys for sharing!
HHAHHAH! GREAT comment man!
Outside of Vegas.
I'm fairly certain it is "The Stomping 5" by Elvis Schoenberg's Orchestre Surréal.
Very inspirational – awesome people, location and mood. You guys are doing a fantastic job – with every season it gets better and better. On the side note, I am calling my dentist today, who graduated 6 years ago from dental school, because he is not a professional dentist. Cheers all 🙂
Oh, and did they say where this was filmed? Cool location. Las Vegas? Arizona?
Framed folks, another fantastic episode! Loved this couple, their images, and their story.
Posteriser, I respect your comment, but I personally love seeing fresh and upcoming photographers. Who cares if they have only been doing this for five years? They obviously both have mad talent and have turned it into a full time career. Gives the rest of us hope.
very true, I won't argue if the photographer is a Pro or not, I think it didnt come out the way i meant it, all I'm wondering is that are they worth featuring? Cheers.
You don't understand kid, I'm not arguing if they are pro or not, All i'm saying is I don't think they are worth featuring. Btw studying photography has nothing much to do with theory, just to let you know. And you use a DSLR? wow, congrats. 😐
It's in the closing credits: "The Stomping 5" by Elvis Schoenberg's Orchestra Surreal. Like the piece appearing earlier ("Jump, Jive & Sing", by the same group), it's heavily derivative of the Benny Goodman classic recording of "Sing, Sing, Sing" (especially Gene Krupa's drums)–you may want to check that out as well.
Well done on this episode. I like the music 🙂
lolololololol duuuuuude!! wait soo u been in school professionally studying photography?? for 5 years? so once you are done with studying u will call yourself a pro photographer since u know all theory behind the camera and the science that makes a pictures??…I've been shooting with a DSLR for almost 2 years now and i cringe when people call me a photographer or even "pro" i dont do this for a living, i do it for my own passion..this couple makes a living out of it soo they earned PRO status.
What's wrong with featuring someone who has caught their attention? They do a bang up job finding new photographers to highlight and presenting them in an interesting and inspiring way. Check out their earlier stuff and you'll see more established artists – Kevin Kabota, Chris Orwig, Joel Grimes, Jeremy Cowart – interspersed among the up and comers.
We'll done. I really liked this husband and wife team. Their work is beautiful and refreshing.
I think you don't understand the meaning of professional photographer. I will tell you in a very simple way. Professional photographer means "a photographer who earns 100% of his income from photography". It is his profession. It is his leaving.
He may just be 5 years in the industry. But he deserve to be called a professional photographer as it is his main job/work. They deserve to be featured in the show as they already established their career in this profession. Cheers
you guys are doing an amazing job with your videos!!! please keep them coming!! THANK YOU!!
i really like seeing somebody who hasnt been in the business for 20+ years.
he started leaning photography 5yrs ago and you call him a photographer and feature him? I have been professionally studying photography since the past 5years now, still I don't call myself a pro. You guys should be featuring for more established and experienced photographers
