I strapped a GoPro to my camera for an entire wedding to show you my point of view. What you see is the actual seconds I am taking the photo, using several different lenses and lighting techniques.

A initially learned photography as a kid shooting black & white then developing the photos in a dark room, that was a magical time and sparked my interest in photography. As I got older I dabbled in digital photography but wasn't until my kids were born that i really started to get an active interest back in it all.

What happened Tom? No more such videos? Been a min
Amazing shots what lens were you using?
Those photos are awesome!
Amazing shots brother! Love the raw emotions
looks like the actuallt had fun during the wedding. not like another video I watched where the photographer was obnoxiously posing the bride and groom and all the bridesmaids for hours on end with 1000s of lights and lenses. bride must have enough on her mind all ready… like this style of wedding and the style of the photographer much more
this video just blew my mind. I'll be coming back to this a lot. incredible. so so inspiring. thank you.
Thank you for sharing, your photographs are magnificent 🙂
I am guessing that you used 2 camera bodies?
Were you using hot-shoe mount for GoPro? How did you managed to use flash then?
question, did you gel your flashes during the reception /party?
wonderful images!
and thank you for the behind the scenes!
awesome work ,,, what is the name of flash and what is the flash mode ????? pls pls
Great video! Would you mind sharing your lighting setup?
Great work, those candids were amazing!
You got an article in DigitalRev! http://bokeh.digitalrev.com/article/heres-what-a-wedding-day-looks-like-to-a-photographer gosh this video gave me goosebumps of how pretty, beautiful, wow, important and hardwork and how much of a ghost is a photographer in the scenes to be able to create this 'moments' in photographs. I love your video so much! very inspiring! and also really good photographs!
Cool.
Also Dutch angles everywhere.
Perfection !
I am not a photographer and neither it's my hobby but I do own a DSLR(because film making is my hobby) and I do love to take photographs of my friends, my question is ARE THOSE PHOTOGRAPHS STRAIGHT OUT OF THE CAMERA OR DO YOU POST PROCESS THEM, IF YES WHAT IS YOUR BASIC APPROACH TOWARDS YOUR PHOTOGRAPH, AND HOW ARE YOU ABLE TO SO EFFECTIVELY UTILISE THE AVAILABLE LIGHT. sory for yelling, I am just too excited to see these beautiful, amazing, spectacular photographs. I hope you read this and reply 🙂
That is such an amazing video. I have always wanted to show people how was the real environment and what i managed to get in pictures so that people are aware of the beauty that a photographer brings to the table. Your compositions and sense of environment is amazing. Please do tell us how you lit the party and dinner and if you used any off camera lighting before that section in the video. I'm subscribing right away.
fantastic. it is so good to see that a skillful photographer is worth every penny
awesome work! i like it alot!
The Guy at 1:59, don't be that guy.
Brilliant work, Tom!
Absolutely awesome photos and a great video. Thumbs up. What type of flashes did you use for the party shots? Can't be manual adjusted flashes?! Seems like some TTL speedlites? I would really appreciate some details. 😉
Can't even call myself "photographer" after this video (and photos). Congrats!
Awesome video, and pictures!
