From Impact to Art in Wedding Photography
Sponsored by Canon
In this video, Michael Anthony shows you his formula for creating incredible images in camera using your environment to your advantage as well as finding or creating good light in horrible locations.
Michael talks about visualizing your shot, and then executing it. Lastly, he talks about building your shot from scratch using small Speedlites and a variety of tools you probably have in your camera bag already.

I liked this…he's a good teacher!

excellent
great seminar / video but soo much throat clearing
You should try "Rapping" too. I can hear another "Rap God" kinda HIT.
34:04 miss nikon dynamic range and iso performance??
1:07:14 looks so bad almost like a washed out image
Step one: Turn subtitles
Step two: Read from 53:30
Thank you very much!
If only I had started taking shots each time he said “right” lol
that's some of the most impressive wedding photo work I've ever seen. fantastic stuff.
Good material but please end sentences with a period, not Right? Presentation would be so much better without Right? and OK?
Might consider decaf… lol But a great video and very nice work.
One of the best photographers in his field, thank you for the great video. Learned a lot.
wtf in posing females section the whole time the video shows the slide only and the lecturer here is actually gesturing and demonstrating the pose. Appreciate if they showed the lecturer instead of the slid whole time. Guys be sensible in editing or videographing at least when there is a important subject discussed and demonsrated as in here. Notice this around 1:45:00
I really hate that he is talking and explaining something and in the screen is the presentation and can’t see what he is explaining…😤😤😤
He seems like a nice fellow and solid in his gear choices and styles. However, I see nothing new in his equipment, everyone using Canon uses roughly the same lenses and either 5D mkiii or Mkiv bodies. I am curious if he has had formal training in composition and photography. Some images have some impact , but would have been much improved with better composition. I see a lot of rookie mistakes in his composition and just about anyone using this gear with some training can do this type of work. I was hoping for something more separate from the pack. What I am seeing here is pretty much what everyone that looks at Facebook or trolls wedding websites are doing. I think because of Facebook and how easy it is to scan and copy other peoples work now make it all very homogeneous. When I started in the 80's doing this we really blazed our own trail there wasn't anyone to copy really other than occasional books and mags. I know I know, I walked 20 miles in the snow to school without shoes. 🙂 I would just like to see some truly original styles and ideas. Using less traditional wedding gear and really looking for something new. It is almost impossible these days with everyone copying everyone else. Plus I haven't seen really anything different in technique or style in years.
Although great information it becomes very annoying when he says “right” and “ok” over and over again.
Great info, I am just starting out in wedding photography, this was very helpful.
Great information! Thank you B&H for putting out the video! Thank you Michael for speaking and sharing your knowledge!
Michael, I have a challenge for you…. watch this video and count how many times you say "Right?" Lol
Extra Talk = Mucho Tostato 🙂
