A initially learned photography as a kid shooting black & white then developing the photos in a dark room, that was a magical time and sparked my interest in photography. As I got older I dabbled in digital photography but wasn't until my kids were born that i really started to get an active interest back in it all.

7:12 Is it bad that I like how they are so happy?
Тут представлены фотографии Прогудина-Горского, они изначально были сделаны в цвете еще в 1910-1918 годах
These are fake, colour wasn't invented in those times
Super
Any classical musician should hate that canon, and bag pipe so that ruined the experience there for the first good bit. And D major* not minor.
Came for the photos, stayed for the bagpipes
DAMN BOI YOUNG JOSEPH STALIN LOOKIN HAWT AF AT 5:39
a bit anglo centered, isn't it?
Some of them just looks like a photoshoot
I really like this video, and especially the inclusion of the end part. I'm so glad you included language as one of the things that has such an impact on us; it seems like most people nowadays write language off as simply a barrier to communication rather than an insight into another culture and a time capsule to the past. Keep up the good work!
Why does young Joseph Stalin look like a sexy beast
7:38 those are the eyes of men who went in with two trucks of soldiers and came back with one.

some of these almost make you think these are just people today dressed up. Putting them in color really makes them feel more human than "people in the past."
Made me wanna see a war movie!!!
Not Russia but its Caucasus republics there
I'm pretty sure some of these are fake, judging by the quality of the photo.
I think they messed up at 1:25 an gave the kid in the middle blue hair lol.
Some of these pictures make me feel like I'm in red dead 2 lol
Actually hitler had brown eyes 👀 7:17
My grandfather is in the one at 4:47 I didn't even know it got colorized. >.>
8:30 is the scariest photo
Old yet still better than the Samsung camera 💀
Black and white gives off an impression of soullessness.
Black and white pictures feel like very long time ago but these colored photographs feel like happen just a week ago
Egard Allan Poe. Egard. Egard.
I want a DeLorean now… DOC I NEED YOU!
Back in those days a lot of men have legendary beards
those Crimean war soldiers are manly AF! I would be ashamed of most of you if they could see the shit world of today. two words. Transgender kids…. its enough to make them eat the barrels of their own guns. fucking insanity.
Wow the last colored photo was taken in 1960
