Works for me. Thanks Tony 👍
he looks so young here
ESO 100
great! thanks
Excellent presentation, less junk talking.
To refocus do you move the focusing point?
This would be an ideal app for the Sony Play Memories app collection?
Can I use LR instead of Photoshop?
You are my Guru 🙂
Definitely will try this.
this would be easier using a focus rail and a 1.1 micro lens. https://www.amazon.com/Tamron-Auto-Focus-60mm-2-0/dp/B002AAYYIW . Rail https://www.amazon.com/Tamron-Auto-Focus-60mm-2-0/dp/B002AAYYIW
wtf is this guy
Eeeeso
Best macro photography tutorial :1
Thanks for the tutorial. I suspected this was how it was done, but it was nice to see it explained.
Does GIMP have a similar feature?
What lens were you using?
Watching this in 2018! Dude you look so young lol
Great tutorial Tony! I forgot how to do this with the brush/mask tool, but this was actually quicker and easier.
Thanks for the tutorial. I always wondered how to do image stacking.
all hail Lumix "post focus" option 😉
Glad you said "ISO", not "I-S-O"
Another great video.
thanks, curious question…why did you switch to manual mode, after noting the shutter speed.
iff I learn this . it sure will add to my hobby 100%. I only have elements 11 though.
That’s probably the most awkward look between the shutter
Lightroom shift select all the pictures you need, right click and select Edit in -> Open as layers in PS, Go to edit Auto Align Layers and then Edit Auto Blend Layers
How good is Nikon AF-S DX Micro NIKKOR 40mm f/2.8G Lens for macro photography?
zoom in? but you're using a prime lens, Tony.
Omg amazing and clearly taught
USE A REMOTE FOR SHOOTING..!!!!!???!!!!!
Is it important to use a 1:1 true macro lens? Or what do you suggest guys? 🙂
You and a couple of other photogs use a high f stop number. I thought were supposed to take advantage of the sweet spot, say f8 for focus stacking. I do understand it would take more images, but wouldn't it be a lot sharper?
Hi Tony, using another Edit In from LR, and PS CC, I end up with a Merged Layer. That's fine, but only one photographer video had that and he did not say what to do with the Merged and working layers. He just ended with the layers showing.
How do I get a final file if there is a Merged layer as well as working layers? How do I save out to a final File?
Delete all the working layers and save the merged one? Seems logical, but extra work.
Is there such a thing as highlight a layer and only saving that one, i.e. use the Merged layer for saving?
Merge all the layers together, including the Merged one?
I like how earnest and proper Tony is in these earlier youtube videos.
Aren't the listings for social media getting kind of ridiculous?
Thanks for the informative video. When you say "zoom in" with the lens, you are simply changing the focus manually, correct? This is different than using a rail, where the focus is not changed but the camera is moved forward. It seems to me that changing the focus would not change the magnification of features in any given layer whereas moving the camera closer on a rail would enlarge them with relation to features on previous stacks. Which method is better, or does it depend on the image one is trying to capture?
