Home Studio Essentials Part 5 : Take and Make Great Photos with Gavin Hoey: AdoramaTV
One light is a great place to start with studio lighting, but adding a second light opens up a whole new world of possibilities to the home studio photographer. In this video, Gavin Hoey shows how adding a hair light can separate a model from the background. Watch as Gavin then puts the theory into practice on a bubble themed shoot.
After the shoot follow Gavin into Photoshop, where he has a brilliant trick for quickly adding more bubbles to the final photo.

Hello Gavin! I really admire your works! It is lovely! I have a question on your background material. Is that a Wood sheet that is painted with Grey color?
Oh my. This is amazing! Definitely subscribing. I feel like I learned so much from one video! What is the thing on your camera that allows you to adjust the light? And how is it controlling how much light you're getting? (I'm really new to this, and I've been using a house lamp for lighting–and as expected have had to do SO much editing which I want to avoid, so I need to purchase the right type of lighting to set up a studio)
I love your videos!! How can I make that background? (DIY Style jajaj)
Wonderful all the series!!

Thanks for sharing
Gavin – I understand exposure and your use of the light meter although I don't understand how you change exposure for the two lights independently. Is this all on the camera shoe mount control? I know it's not a TTL system. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the individual purpose of each piece of flash gear. Thanks, I appreciate the videos!
Which light controlling remote/ trigger are useing here?
skin tone how do you do that ?
you are excellent at teaching. Well done and thanks for killing the horrid Rock & Roll banging drums!
