This video is awesome, love the info about what shots you specifically use a lens for during the day 👍🏻
That was a fun video.
Isn't it hard to shoot with primes at weddings?

Your using a full frame ?
GREAT video (as always!). I do have one question. For the wide shots (ceremony, bride's room etc.), what is the advantage of using the 35mm fixed, as opposed to a 18-35mm lens? I ask, because I need to add a wide angle lens, to my bag 😉
hi wonderful video. Can you pls tell me the song/music title of this video? thanks
You're so pretty.
Hello I was asked to shoot a wedding on April 23rd and this is my first time I'm extremely nervous extremely I was wondering if u could tell what my settings should be set at I'll be using 18-55mm lens, 50 mm lens, and also 55-250mm lens can u tell me what settings would be best and it will be more likely in a church both ceremony and reception?? And I have a canon rebel T2I
Thank u so much for posting this I'm getting ready to do my first wedding and your videos have help me a lot.
thx for the tips, from Indonesia.
The sigma 70-200 2.8 is a better lens, and it's not even an Art or C yet, so you can imagine when they come out with that. Surprising but true, the Canon is 2nd in quality and more $ which is sad.
Great video and tips… Chuckled that you misspelled "details"' your commentary segment on details.Very informative.
Not only educational and inspiring but also all your videos are well set up! Amazing videos and tips! Thank you.
great tips. i'm curious about how you light your shots. natural light? what if the venue has darker ambient? do you use on camera or off camera flash? boost your iso to get better shutter speeds?
love this video !!! very helpful!
Lens choices are very subjective. It all depends on your style. If you are strapped for money the Canon 85mm 1.8 prime is one of the best, if not THE best portrait lens Canon makes for the money. That lens rivals others that cost many times more.
Very very good choice on the Sigma 35mm 1.4 art! That lens is truly magical.
OMG! I like your video and I like you. … you're gorgeous!!!!
u are the prettiest photographer I've ever seen!
Jana absolutely love your videos! I have been debating on getting a Nikon 70-200mm lens but I rented one and it just seemed SO heavy to me I am not sure I would put it to good use. Do you think its absolutely neccesarry to have? I have a great 18-300mm lens that seems to take sharp pictures! only a F3.5 though. Do you think I can get away with using that plus my 35 and 50mm lenses for weddings?
Thank you so much for sharing.
What camera do you use?
do you use flash you goddess of a woman?
obsessing over your videos! you amazing!
I have the same gear (apart from the 50 mm f1.2) but I like to use the 24-70 mm f2.8 the most. Hardly ever use my 70-200 for weddings. Thanks for the tips.
SO helpful! Very glad I found your channel! 🙂

Jana!
I shot my first wedding last summer, but the entire ceremony was directly in the sun in the middle of the day. Are there any tricks for getting around this, and avoiding washed out pictures?
+Jana Williams i know you use a canon but is a Nikon D5100 a good camera also to do wedding photos ??
