In comparison to countless other exchanges, that one was fairly benign. However, it still raises the question of why cops constantly want to see ID even though they have absolutely no reason whatsoever to see it. It's become instinctive, so now most of them take offence when they don't get it and use that as a pretense to ask more questions. It may seem like a harmless request, but it never is.

The feds have issued a directive allowing anyone to film a federal facility. Department of Homeland Security MD Number: 111-03. You can get a copy of that on line. HOWEVER, I wouldn't mess with the Feds like that. They can still arrest you and you can spend a lot of time and money before you get out…right or not. Just saying.
