A initially learned photography as a kid shooting black & white then developing the photos in a dark room, that was a magical time and sparked my interest in photography. As I got older I dabbled in digital photography but wasn't until my kids were born that i really started to get an active interest back in it all.

If you blink every once in a while when the camera is on your face you won't look so much like a serial killer.
good tips as always. Kindly improve your intro and outro video. Those have a very outdated feel. Feels like i am watching tutorials from the 80's.
Very helpful video and great explaination. I will be trying this in about 30 minutes 🙂 after my setup. Thank you again
Nice video and thanks
Fantastic…thanks for share..
You, Sir, are a photographic GENIUS! My wife left one of her beautiful roses on the kitchen counter, along with a note asking me to take a photo of it. My photos of her flowers never do them justice. Suddenly it occurred to me to search You Tube for "How to Photograph Flowers" – and there you were! Although I don't have the boards, etc. that you used, I might be able to find something like that at a local art store. Same idea with the clamp lights. THANK YOU SO MUCH for all the detail you used, including photos of the camera settings! I look forward to learning from more of your superb videos! Best Regards, Fred 🙂
I like how you start with just the basic camera and flash and build up piece by piece, making it easy to see what each light, reflector and gobo is there for.

Robert, I am glad with your tutorials, thanks for sharing them. I have just one question: what kind of paper is that you use in this and most of your studio shoots? Mylar paper? bond paper? rice paper?
I love to photo flowers,I have just finished a studio in my basement to try this technique .Thanks for the demo
Hello there, have you tried "photo SFX art" (google it)? On their website you will find a smart free video demonstrating how to make better photographs. It made it easier for Joe to shoot pictures that have a wow-effect when you take a look at them. I hope it will help you too…
how do you suppose to eat if you are not gonna kill a plant or an animal? unless you have stones and mud for food then i will understand.
