In this easy to follow tutorial I show you how to change a landscape video to portrait. Some people refer to it as converting a horizontal video to a vertical video. Vertical videos are perfect to use for social media videos that will be used on Instagram stories and snapchat as they fill the whole screen.
It’s really useful to learn how to rotate a landscape video to portrait as you could make your youtube videos into social media clips. I converted this horizontal video using final cut pro but this will also work in imovie and other editing software

I'm sure there has to be an app for quick video rotation, although it isn't something I've really tried to edit lately. For mobile videos where the camera was turned to the wrong orientation after started recording, I'd probably cut out parts & then do the rotate.

I really enjoyed how clean and crisp this was! Especially since it was in Final Cut Pro X. I just finished a free trial with them and have been considering switching video editors, but it was good to see how I could do this in FCPX. Thanks! π
